It has been a few years since I went to IHOP so when the grand opening sent a coupon to try the new restaurant I was excited (who doesn't love a colorado omelette). I took my wife and 3 kids with the intent to use the BOGO coupon for dinner and was excited to see there was no line when we arrived. There were maybe 6 seated tables in the restaurant with 3 waiters and a hostess visible (I don't know how many people were in the back). We were seated immediately, after 20-30 minutes our waitress came to ask for our drinks when we also ordered food. After approximately 45 minutes our food came out when I asked for the check and to go boxes for the food. The omeletes were very overcooked (which is not shocking for that long in the kitchen). After 10-15 minutes the waitress came to finally accept my payment and my bogo coupon was applied incorrectly. I ordered two 16$ omeletes and an 8$ Ihoppier hour chicken and pancakes to try something new but for the first time in my life instead of applying on similar items the 8$ was the one removed (which we obviously would not have purchased if that was even within the realm of possible). In summary, he staff seemed friendly in the 6 words shared across 2 hours, the food was subpar for Ihop, the waits were unacceptable, and the misuse of the coupon was the icing on an already disgusting cake. I will try IHOP again in a different state perhaps but definitely...
Read moreLast night I took my granddaughter to the IHOP next to the hotel I'm staying at. It was the first time I was babysitting her. Decided to treat her to blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs. The place wasn't busy when we got there. Was seated, served my Dr pepper, and order was taken. Twenty minutes goes by, and a crowd of people came in. The waitress came over and told me that she just got slammed, and her associates would be bringing my order out shortly. I asked her for some extra napkins because my granddaughter was making a mess with the cookie I gave her to satisfy her hunger as we wait. Twenty or so minutes go bye again, and another waitress came over and said our order was coming up in a few more minutes. As I watched several other tables served that came in after us. The manager came out and tried giving excuses. Tried handing me a twenty percent discount on the next visit card, and offered to give us our meal free. I told him after an hour of being ignored, because of bigger and better money than my order was giving them had priority over my granddaughter and I, obviously, so I finished bundling up my granddaughter, and we left. This place doesn't honor the happier hour menu. Good luck if you want to be served pancakes,if you are a small party. You too could become invisible to...
Read moreIHOP is the best place ever! It’s like a magic pancake land where you can have breakfast anytime you want. When you walk in, it smells like yummy pancakes and syrup everywhere. There are so many colors and things to look at!
The best part is the pancakes. They’re big and fluffy, and you can get them with chocolate chips, whipped cream, and even rainbow sprinkles! It’s like having dessert for breakfast. And the syrup? There are so many kinds! I like to mix all of them on my pancakes. It’s super sticky but soooo good.
The people there are really nice. They always bring crayons and a fun menu to color on while you wait. Sometimes I draw on the napkins too, but Mommy says that's okay here. The waiters even smile and sometimes bring me extra napkins when I spill my juice (which happens a lot).
They have these cool high chairs that make me feel like a big kid sitting at the table. And the booths are so squishy and fun to sit in. Sometimes I bounce a little because they’re so comfy.
IHOP is my favorite because it’s not just a place to eat. It’s like going on a little adventure where everything is yummy and fun. I always ask Mommy and Daddy if we can go there. If you’re a kid who loves pancakes and fun, IHOP is the...
