I'm a southern girl y'all, so I apologize for this long review. Since it's difficult to find relatively good bbq here in the Springs, this is a spot worth driving to, when you have the craving. It's not over-priced, plus you get your money's worth. I had a brisket sandwich with half lean and half fatty brisket. I also had a side of greens and cornbread. First of all, your meat rests on a nice thick potato bun, so it holds the juicy meat and sauce so your bread doesn't get soggy and collapse in your hand. The lean brisket was SUPER TENDER, and the fatty brisket was also not overly greasy. That's the best part... both were not nauseatingly greasy. You can certainly taste the slight yummy smokiness flavor from the meat, and it's not overpowering. The portion for the sandwich was NICE, too. The only thing missing from the greens was hot sauce, a southern fave 😃. It was full of flavor and had texture...not soggy and bland. The cornbread is made with sweetcorn, y'all! Sweetcorn. The cornbread tasted almost as good as my grandmother's...almost. It was firm on the outside, soft, buttery, and sweet on the inside. Delicious! Compared to my favorite bbq food truck here, this is the best dine-in I've been to. Although I took my food to-go, the inside of their establishment was really clean. If I wasn't in a rush, I would've definitely eaten my food here. Michelle, one of the managers here, suggested I try the sandwich I had. Thank you so much!!!! The other manager (his name starts with an "M", but I don't have with me while writing this review) was the one who suggested the greens and cornbread. Both agreed that I'd enjoy what I ordered...and I honestly did! Thank you Mission BBQ team! I'll definitely come back...

When disaster struck with a last-minute venue cancellation, Mission BBQ stepped up and saved the day for our company celebration. Faced with the challenge of accommodating more than 50 people on short notice, their staff and management didn't just rise to the occasion—they soared above and beyond.

The food was nothing short of excellent, showcasing why Mission BBQ has earned its reputation for mouthwatering, authentic barbecue. From perfectly smoked meats to delectable sides, every dish was a crowd-pleaser.

What truly set this experience apart was the incredible speed and efficiency of their service. Despite the sudden influx of guests, the team operated like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that everyone was served promptly and with a smile.

The staff's professionalism and flexibility turned what could have been a catering nightmare into a seamless, enjoyable experience. Their can-do attitude and attention to detail transformed our potential evening of disappointment into an absolutely amazing and fun celebration.

Mission BBQ didn't just meet our expectations—they exceeded them in every way. Their ability to handle our large group with such ease and grace under pressure was truly impressive. Thanks to their outstanding performance, our corporate event will be remembered not for its near-disaster, but for the delicious food, exceptional service, and joyous atmosphere.

For anyone planning an event, big or small, planned or last-minute, Mission BBQ has proven they're more than up to the task. They don't just serve great barbecue; they deliver unforgettable experiences. Our team is still raving about the evening. Thank you...

Home BBQ enthusiast here, so take my review with a grain of (kosher) salt. I've been to BBQ joints around Colorado Springs, and most of them have been mediocre, with few exceptions. Today I went to Mission and had their pulled pork and sausage plate, with a side of Mac and Cheese and corn bread. My buddy had the brisket and beans. First, the meat. It's all smoked with oak. Oak is a bit heavy for some things in my opinion, like I wouldn't smoke poultry with oak. The brisket was well prepared, tender and moist. You didn't need a knife, it was pull-apart tender. The smoke flavor was subtle, not overbearing, but certainly present. The pork was pretty decent, also subtle smoky, but moist and delicious. I liked their sausages better than any other BBQ place in town. Now the sauces. The meat really should stand on its own, and at Mission it does. However, they also have some really good sauces. I tried them all and I liked the Smoky Mountain sauce and the KC traditional. The sides were ok, certainly had that homemade quality to them. I would add some of the sauces to the beans to really kick them up a notch. The corn bread was very good, like surprisingly good. I don't normally think of corn bread as noteworthy, but this was the exception. The atmosphere was really great. I loved the decor and the clientele (first responders and veterans were visible and noticeable throughout the restaurant). Very friendly service and readily available, as one might expect from a newly opened restaurant. Again, I'm a home BBQ enthusiast, so no BBQ is ever going to be as good as or better than my own. But I'll take my family to...

Food is good, except the fries are WAY overcooked. Some are so hard that I can’t bite into them. Service SUCKED. It’s 4:00 pm and I haven’t eaten today. So I walk in to get my pick up order I go up to the pick up register, and on the counter, I can see my order sitting there. It takes a minute for the guy to greet me, and he says ā€œI’ll be right with you,ā€ and he’s standing in the back there waiting on somebody else’s order to come out, instead of bagging my order and giving it to me. Then he walks over to the plastic wrap area and starts fiddling with the plastic wrap, and my order is sitting there this whole time… I can see it right in front of me. And so can he. So, a minute goes by, now he’s done fiddling with the plastic wrap, and he walks back over towards the register and I think he’s about to give me my food, BUT, NO. Instead, he goes to the line and grab some other person’s order and bags it up and gives this old man his food before he gives me mine, which has been sitting there this whole time, GETTING COLD. It felt like ā€œI’ll get to you later, little lady. I have to take care of this MAN firstā€. 😔 Now, my hotel is 900 feet away, by the time I drove back over here, my food was not hot anymore. He also forgot to give him a cup for a drink. His customer service skill are TERRIBLE, and he needs to do better. he could’ve bagged my order up 10 times in the time that he stood there doing nothing letting my food sit there and get cold. This was my first time in this restaurant, and I am not impressed.

Stopped here on the way back from the Renaissance Fair. A few seconds after walking in I noticed it smelled like BBQ, good BBQ. First time there so I ordered a sampler platter with moist brisket (always get moist), turkey (because if you can do turkey good you can do anything), and sausage (because if everything else is horrible the sausage is always at least good). For sides my wife was craving french fries and I always have to try the baked beans. It all came with a square of cornbread. First up, sausage, great, tasty and flavorful. We went with the non spicy and it did not need the kick but it is nice to know they have jalapeno if you want it. Next the turkey, perfectly cooked not dry, decent flavor but it needed some sauce. Finally the moist brisket, spot on tasty and the sauce only enhances it. The fries were hand cut and pretty good, and the beans were great. In fact they were some of the best baked beans I've ever had. Finally the cornbread was buttery goodness that my wife wolfed down almost before I could grab a bite. There are six different sauces and I'd recommend you try them all. Surprisingly one of my favorites was the KC Classic followed by the Smokey Mountain. Oh also the staff was great. Even though it is an order, grab a seat, and then grab your food when they call your name BBQ place, everywhere I looked there were staff grabbing plastic forks and knives, getting ketchup, and asking how your meal was. So if you are looking for some great BBQ then I'd highly recommend Mission BBQ.
