Terrible place. Ruined my night with my sister and daughter. I bought two large drinks and popcorn and asked if I could have a cup for water from the machine. The boy told me I could only buy bottles and pointed to the drive behind me, so I said that’s fine add that too please he said enjoy the movie after I had paid. I grabbed a water from the fridge and my daughter filled the sodas for them and went over to fill the popcorn - which took at least five mins. Walking into the movie I had two men (if you can call them that) one of which was security, approach me from behind and one of them said “Excuse me you did not pay for that water” in a very rude manner like I was in trouble .. not sorry the boy who served you did not charge for it or sorry there was a mix up or something normal! I asked why they needed a security guard plus another guy to discuss this with me and they say that’s the way they do things then the manager stormed up and shoved my receipt at me saying “see you never paid for it” just accusing all the time. Wow! Just wow! Then this snotty little manager, instead of saying sorry there seems to be a mix and would I mind paying for it had me practically escorted back to the counter to pay! When the original 20 year old who served me asked how my night was going I snapped and him and said not very well since you did not charge for the water I asked for so the manager pushed him aside and told me not to “talk to the child in an angry tone” I was fuming at this point just ridiculous! He the. continued to speak down to me like some common thief telling me to lower my tone! I am 50 and have never in my life been treated that way. I was humiliated and embarrassed to be treated like that in front of my daughter and sister by a bunch of junior imbeciles. I mean really? You needed to approach me and my child and sister - three women - with two men and essentially accuse me of theft after I paid 40 plus dollars for tickets including their extra five bucks for booking online (which no one else charges for) then another 30 for finks and popcorn but then treat me like I am some thief! Disgusting! Plus the cinema was freezing .. also almost empty and I can see why when it’s run that way! Corporate will be hearing from me! Go to regal across the road far nicer or roadhouse in springs where you can order food and drinks at the table with super polite staff. So disgusted at this place I would t recommend it to anyone when they treat women this way! Won’t be wasting another dime...
Read moreTL;DR: Avoid the luxury "Iconic" room, tickets are slightly cheaper than non-discounted AMC tickets, standard rooms are ok, no cash or bags accepted, and it's located in a boring area with not much to see.
I was disappointed in many regards when I first stepped foot into this theater. I wanted to walk there with my school bag, only to be met with a strict no bag policy. So after walking back the next day (without my bag), I try to purchase a ticket for their "iconic" room, but they don't take cash, which is a little inconvenient. But I brush off the inconvenience and make my way down to the luxury "iconic" room. And wow! The seats in this room are the most advanced in terms of articulation and leg spacing, but they are way too close to the screen. For example, there is a reason you don't sit right in front of your TV, and it's because all you would see is a bunch of pixels and unsharp details. That same issue is the problem with their "iconic" room, or maybe the projector they use is bunk. But I could overlook the image quality if it wasn't for the audio quality... immediately after sitting down the screen displays a wonderful advertisement touting their "custom" sound system, now I don't know what they are talking about because they seem to have forgotten the part where you add acoustics to a room ( such as carpet floors and ribbed walls or foam). But the "iconic" room is very empty, so the movie echoes and is generally not good enough considering the price they charge. Did I mention they don't offer student discounts? Overall, my opinion on their "iconic" room is very, very poor. However, the standard rooms sound much better and are generally ok in comparison to other theater's equivalent rooms (still a little more expensive after snacks and such). I did notice that they open earlier than other theaters, and they play older or artsy movies once in a while. These are positives in my mind! In conclusion, I believe that the customer should skip out on this theater because of the reasons mentioned above in addition to the fact that there is hardly anything to do in the immediate area. I just think other theaters benefit from their location more for individuals and families than Icon cinema, and again, their "iconic" room is overpriced and underperforming. One day, I will give that room another shot, I just hope they rework it so that it fits the...

Parking is ridiculous. They direct you around to the "front" which is the back of the building and only has about 20 spots then once you circle around you end up parking in the parking garage where you started. Save yourself the time and frustration and park in the garage where you enter anyway.
Once inside my hope was renewed, movie pass worked great. Cashier was nice and friendly but so rushed he tried to check me out before ordering concessions.
The popcorn was nasty. It takes a lot for me to say that. This is the very 1st time in my life I actually did not eat the popcorn it was so bad. I'm pretty sure it was popped when they opened their doors so by my 9 pm showing it was so nasty. Not just stale, it was gross. My coke tasted right though.
The reclining chairs were another disappointment sadly. Another reviewer said they hurt her calves and I thought she was a little crazy (sorry!) But she was right. The foot-rest has zero cushion and is tilted at the wrong angle so it digs into your calf muscle. And the rest of the chair had little cushion as well. Not very comfortable at all. I'd rather have standard movie seating.
It was so cold in the theater I kept my winter coat on throughout the movie and couldn't feel my toes by the end. I was wearing socks, shoes, jeans, amd a long sleeved shirt so it wasn't my attire that was the problem.
I had really high hopes since it was so new and in such an upscale neighborhood of the city. Unfortunately the only thing that didn't fall flat was my Coke (yay for Coke)! I'm sorry to say I will probably return to Cinemark on Powers Blvd. The parking is still a pain there too but at least I can comfortably eat yummy, hot popcorn and drink my Coke while I...
