Julie Penrose Fountain — Attraction in Colorado Springs

A really nice park, landscape, and fountain! This place boast's an excellent view of the Southern most part of the Rocky Mountain Range. As well as plenty of lawn space too host a picnic, too a sizable gathering. The fountain is only operational during the warmest seasons, such as late spring and summer, however, it is continually on display. Very cool park with one of the nicest public playgrounds I have ever been to and a splash play area if you need to cool down. I have this 4 stars and not 5 because the restrooms are so inadequate. The women’s restroom had no doors on the stalls and there is no soap dispenser. (If there were the option that soap could be there and they were just out that would be one thing, but no soap at all is another) if I were renting the pavilion I would be very upset that my guests would have to use that. The Fountain is beautiful, however the fountain staff weren’t very nice. They could have kindly communicated that people can’t be on certain spots of the fountain. I was rudely interrupted while taking pictures, they told me “we can’t have you here”. Then they proceeded to sit in a circle and gossip. As I was walking away, one of them stood in the place I was, to make sure I wasn’t able to take anymore pictures. I’m surprised the staff members were so unprofessional.
