So satisfying! My family and I love it here. We (and our friends) will all be returning for more. The food is freshly prepared, delicious, and generously portioned. Excellent value for a thoroughly reasonable price. The wontons actually are filled with tons of crab and cream cheese (imagine that! Some other places barely fill them at all), the egg rolls are quite flavorful (chicken and a mix of veggies with a hint of either garlic or pepper, in a fresh and crisp shell), and even the sweet and sour sauce is actually made in-house (had a nice hint of citrus flavor and without that weird red food coloring that other places have). I had the Happy Family seafood dish (divine with a great quality variety of meats and veggies), my husband had orange beef (he said it was just the perfect mix of sweet and spicy!), and my father in law had the country style pork (they catered to his spicyness requests well). Our fried rice had that soft, light, and fresh homemade feel, not the old oily crustiness that we sometimes get at other Chinese restaurants or fast food places. And don't get me started about the customer service; the family who owns the place is sweet, attentive, and thoughtful! I was super pleased and happy. Definitely our new favorite...
Read moreWhat a surprising jewel we found here! We ordered mu-shu pork the other night when our usual Chinese restaurant was closed. It was delicious! We also ordered the hot and sour soup, which was also amazing. So many places can't do a good job on these dishes. The food was very fresh and the meat was super tender. Mmmmmm... We went back twice that week for the same items. Then, today I brought a friend. We got the bean curd with veggies and the chicken with veggies. OMG, so good! I'm not a tofu person, but I loved my friend's bean curd. I was quite surprised.
The restaurant was not very big and is sparsely decorated. But don't let that fool you. The food is excellent. The owner/cook was very sweet and helpful. Today was the first time I went in. My husband picked up the carry out the first two times. Also, I'm Asian and am quite particular about Asian...
Read moreAMAZING FOOD! If you want authentic Chinese food, please give this mom and pops place a try. Hands down best Chinese food in Colorado Springs. I have been here numerous times. The owners are extremely sweet. They also speak Mandarin and Cantonese!
I LOVED the salted fish chicken fried rice and beef ho fun. However, that does not mean there aren't any classic Chinese American dishes. If you are not adventurous or like to stick to what you know, they still have your orange chicken, beef and broccoli, crab rangoon, etc. They even carry a few Korean dishes like jjajangmyeon. There is a dish for everyone!
Their lunch special is a steal. It is about $10-$15. Most of their other family sized entrees are all around $10-$20. Super affordable. The food comes out...
