Mochinut — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Went in on their opening day, Saturday Aug 17. I got three donuts and paid just over $10. The donuts were very good. Soft and flavorful. I got the strawberry which was my favorite, the caramel drizzle and the churro with strawberry syrup drizzled on top. It was a little chaotic since it was their first day open. They said they were doing a buy one get one free special, so I was just going to get two donuts so I could try them but there was a miscommunication and I ended up with 3 mochinuts and paid full price. Hopefully, it gets better when it isn’t as chaotic. I’m assuming these mochinuts are GF since they are made with rice dough but it doesn’t say anywhere that I could see. I wouldn’t mind trying the mochi hot dogs next time I find...

I was really excited to try mochi doughnuts, but unfortunately, they didn’t live up to the hype. We tried a variety of flavors—Nutella, Taro, strawberry, and churro—and while the flavors sounded promising, none of them tasted fresh. The doughnuts were stale, and the flavors felt a bit off, almost as if they had been sitting out for a while. To top it off, they were very overpriced for what we got. It's a shame because the customer service was fantastic, and the location was great. Sadly, the doughnuts themselves just didn't deliver. I had high hopes but left...

Unfortunately, both times I’ve visited this place (early afternoon and nighttime), they are out of most of their drink flavors. The tapioca and popping boba are average. The staff were friendly the first time, just stared at my husband very rudely the second visit and rushed him through the process even though he was the only customer. Spill The Tea will remain my favorite and Kung Fu is just a little farther than this place and usually has all their delicious drinks and are very friendly.
