We love getting our treats from here. This review is not about the cakes, but I feel it's important to share. My issue is the method in they're using to collect financial information they're not preview to. They now have an app for orders as well as rewards tracked in the app vs the old punch-hole cards. Yes, I've collected quite a few with every change of purse. The new app however requires you to register a credit card in the app inorder to collect and redeem points. I found this to be a major problem because financial information should be protected; therefore, should not be stored without customers permission, let alone be a requirement just to earn points. I recently made a $ 50 purchase and I'm unable to redeem my points. There're not enough cupcakes in the world and points to force me to give up such valuable information. Yes, I've made online purchases and found out later that my card has been saved with permission. It's sickening, which is why I often use cash in-store to limit credit cards usage. Protection your financial information by limiting storage in apps. Your credit card has valuable information that can break you, should it get into the wrong hands. Keep in mind, there's always a third-party company or multiple, collecting free information. My rule thumb, when a business uses a rewards system/app that requires a credit card stored, I don't go for it. I've registered with other businesses rewards app and none has required credit card information in order to earn points, they usually just need a name,...
Read moreI have an allergy to certain artificial flavors and colors. I searched the nothing bundt cakes website up and down for a list of ingredients to no avail. This is something all places that serve food should have readily available for customers; ingredients are important to know for people with allergies especially. I proceeded to call the place, and they said their ingredients aren’t allowed to be shared, so I had to rattle off a long list of whatever I needed to avoid and they had to check the list to see what is inside. Turns out something had been missed along the lines and I had a very bad couple days afterwards. It pains me to know that a company’s desire to keep their ingredients covert from their competition trumps the privilege for their patrons to know what they’re putting into their body. I understand that a single bundt cake shop can’t change the policies of their organization, and not everyone particularly cares what ingredients are used inside their cakes. But I wish if I need to go to the measure of calling a shop to see if I’m going to have a reaction to what’s inside that they can at least just read the list of ingredients instead of leaving the employees to question whether what they’re reading on the label is in fact what allergy I am asking about. I know for about 99% of the population, knowing what’s in their food doesn’t matter and this would be a fine place to enjoy a good cake, I just think an ingredient list should be accessible by phone call for the 1% who...
Read moreThe cakes are the most delicious cakes around. Customer service on the other hand can use some improvement. My office gal placed an order for me but when i went to pick it up the girl kept telling me i must not have ordered properly because they didn't have my name, instead of asking who placed the order for you. She kept challenging me saying i must not have placed the order correctly. After fifteen minutes of her staring at the computer saying i don't have your. name husband asked me who placed the order for me and i told him and then the girl said you should have said so. I have a cake for that person. She went to the back to get it and i asked to see it and she said to ahead open it. I asked her for something to open the box not to slice my finger and she said just pull the tape. That's when Katie stepped in and cut the tape open and showed me the cake and explained how to bring it to room temp before serving for best results. The first girl took my pmt then asked if i wanted my reciept. I had to ask for her to tape the box back up and she just looked at me and again Katie stepped in and taped my box and thanked me. The worst customer service from the...
