I never had any issue going to this place in the last 2 years, until today. I normally order in person, but today I thought that to save time I would call ahead. I have a lot food sensitivities/intolerances, and have always appreciated MOD's build-your-own option so I could always build a safe pizza for my diet. My order was maybe a little unusual, but definitely doable. I actually used to work at a pizza place for 3 years so I understand the wide range of pizzas that people can order. I also have ordered this exact pizza several times before at both this location and the Academy one. It was a gluten-free, garlic rub, no cheese, grilled chicken, artichoke, fresh basil, and mixed greens. What was immediately concerning was the demeanor of the lady who answered the phone. She came across as extremely casual, talked very slowly, and twice, had a conversation with another person right when I was on the phone. The first time, she said, "Bring the baby downstairs", and the second time she asked urgently, "When are you leaving??" to which I replied, "I mean, I could leave right now," to which she replied, "Oh no, sorry, I wasn't talking to you." When I asked about the mixed greens, she said, "To add that to your pizza, we will actually need to change your order from a 'Pizza' to a 'Pizza Salad'"... which to be frank, seemed strange to me, because historically, I have always been able to get it as a topping. I know, at least, at the Academy location, the mixed greens are in a bin next to the spinach, both of which they considered to be toppings, and I have never had any issues with them. I explained that I usually get the mixed greens as a topping, and said, "Please cook all of it - I don't want pizza with just lettuce on top." At the end of the order, we reviewed it, and THOUGHT that she had properly taken it down, but when I arrived, the greeter gave me a pizza box and a bowl of plain lettuce, and I realized that she had very clearly messed up. I explained what had happened, and the guy, a man in his 40s with a bright green T-shirt, appeared to be very confused about the whole "mixed greens" thing, but agreed to remake it. I felt kind of bad about it, but I was on the phone with this lady for like 8 minutes, and felt like she really should have communicated this a lot more clearly. I waited at the counter until it was made, and then the guy, basically just shoved the box in my face, and said "Thank you, have a nice day." I then said, "Do I pay at the cashier?" and he said rudely, "No, I took care of it. Have a nice day." It was clear from the tone in his voice that he immediately wanted me to leave, so I left, truthfully feeling burned from this poor customer experience. Since I had to wait twice as long as I was expecting to eat my pizza, by the time I got home, I was starving and dove right in. As I initially ate my pizza, I thought that I tasted cheese, but then I thought that maybe it was just a little bit of cross contamination from the oven. However, as I ate more and more of the pizza, my tongue began to burn a little, and my face began to flush, and I realized that there really WAS cheese in the pizza; it was below the toppings and blended in PERFECTLY with the crust. I then, in a panic, looked at the receipt, and realized that the lady forgot to put the "No cheese" in my order, and realized that I just ate a whole bunch of cheese! -It's not life-threatening, but it will hurt for a day (I have an autoimmune disease). That being said, I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this store, and am never going back again. This lady clearly deserves to be fired, and this guy clearly needs a lesson in customer service, which is a shame, because by how he walked around, he looked like he was a lead, or maybe even a manager. If you ever want to eat at Mod, only go to the Academy store!!!

Just went to MOD Pizza for the first time. So, I went there because it was close by and some of the pictures other reviewers posted looked good. Just based on the few pics that I looked at I was expecting a bar type of environment, but it’s more like a chipotle setup. Though they do sell a few beers on tap. The idea is pretty cool. It’s a create-your-own pizza in the style of a chipotle or a subway, but they don’t charge extra for toppings. You can go crazy if you want and they have lots of choices. They do have a menu of pizzas though if you don’t want to create your own, but you can modify those as well. I got the 11 inch make-your-own and chose standard red sauce (they have white sauce, pesto, and one more I think) with minced garlic under the mozzarella (you can also add some herbs and other cheeses). Then I chose spicy chicken sausage (they have like 9 meat options), black olives, onions, garlic cloves (I love garlic), red peppers, and mushrooms and then finished it off with some oregano. They had so many more options to choose from including sauces like balsamic vinegar, oil, ranch, etc., you could have drizzled ontop before it goes into the oven. The crust is really thin and it took only a few minutes (no more than 5 or 6, but felt like 3 or 4) for it to be ready. If you’ve read this far just know that this pizza, was not just a cool idea, it was literally one of the all time best pizzas I have ever had in my life. I was so surprised. I did not expect for it to be as savory and flavorful as it was. I can’t say any more without becoming redundant, so suffice it to say I will be back again and again. Thanks, MOD Pizza! It was delicious!

MOD pizza is hands down one of the best pizza joints out there. I recently visited this location and was blown away by the quality of their food and the exceptional service I received. The pizzas are completely customizable, allowing you to choose from a wide range of toppings and sauces to create your own unique masterpiece. The crust is perfectly crispy, the sauce is flavorful, and the cheese is always melted to perfection. What I love about MOD pizza is their commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients and their efforts to accommodate various dietary needs. They offer gluten-free and vegan options, as well as a variety of salads and sides. Additionally, their staff is always friendly, helpful, and eager to assist with any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend MOD pizza to anyone looking for a delicious, customizable, and affordable pizza experience.

After careful consideration, I have decided to give this location a 1 star across the board. This location consistently cannot provide on time service. You will almost always have to add 20-30 minutes for your online order to be completed. Example; order was suppose to be ready at 6:22. showed up knowing it would need a few extra minutes based on experience at 6:40, was told they would let me know when order is ready. (place was not busy by any means this particular trip but lots of employees behind the counter) The employee handling the pizzas at the end of the chain and boxing them boxed our order placed it on the rack behind her and proceeded to continue working and ignored that she had completed the order and let me know it was ready.(I didn't know it was my order at that point) as the minutes ticked past I began to wonder how much longer I was waiting for 2 pies as it was now 6:55. She completes other orders and calls them out to the other patrons but ignores the 2 pies she placed there minutes prior to these other ones. Finally, a different employee notices these orders taps her coworker and confirms they are completed then grabs the receipt and calls out the name (that is when I realized my order had been ready for almost 10 minutes sitting there getting cold.) All I got was a "sorry about the wait" well, sorry, not sorry, we will not be coming back after this. Poor customer service, no compensation lack of general customer satisfaction just collect the money and ask for a tip. As I stated earlier, this was not the first time we have encountered this problem with this location. To top it off...the pizzas looked like day old pizza left out on a counter in a college dorm after a frat party. You need to do better with the prices you charge....IDK have a training seminar...take a look at how your competitors across the way do business (Chic Fil A) THEY know how to make things right regardless, treat their patrons with respect and know it is THEM who keep them in business and their staff employed. Sincerely, a patron who gave more than a second chance and will not be returning. Take heed, there are many many food joints around that you could give your money to. You want good pizza and atmosphere go downtown to Steel Pan PNP...
