We love getting our treats from here. This review is not about the cakes, but I feel it's important to share. My issue is the method they're using to collect financial information they're not privy to. They now have an app for orders as well as rewards tracked in the app vs. the old punch-hole cards. Yes, I've collected quite a few with every change of purse. The new app, however, requires you to register a credit card in the app in order to collect and redeem points. I found this to be a major problem because financial information should be protected; therefore, it should not be stored without customers' permission, let alone be a requirement just to earn points. I recently made a $ 50 purchase, and I'm unable to redeem my points. There're not enough cupcakes in the world, and points to force me to give up such valuable information. Yes, I've made online purchases and found out later that my card has been saved with permission. It's sickening, which is why I often use cash in-store to limit credit card usage. Protect your financial information by limiting storage in apps. Your credit card has valuable information that can break you, should it get into the wrong hands. Keep in mind that there's always a third-party company or multiple, collecting free information. My rule thumb is that when a business uses a rewards system/app that requires a credit card stored, I don't go for it. I've registered with other businesses' rewards apps, and none has required credit card information in order to earn points. They usually just need a name, ...
Read moreYesterday I went in to purchase a raspberry cake for my sisters birthday when I got to the party (which is 40 minutes from the store) I noticed it was red velvet cake. When I called to see if I could get a different one they said that the staff couldn't wait for me to get back to exchange it and instead I could come the next day to exchange the cake. I told them that I didn't want the cake for the next day so then they offered a refund and took my information. Today I received a call from the store owner and she told me that she believed me but she also believed her employee and her employee said that I confirmed that I wanted a red velvet cake and that they weren't able to give me a refund without the cake back because every cake counts and without the cake back it would be a major loss for their company. This honestly made me upset not only because they messed up my order and did nothing to actually solve it. I am a customer that consistently returns to this store not to mention last time I was in there I sold them out spending $800. This also concerns me and raises health concerns because it wasn't until I opened the cake that I noticed it was red velvet. I would hope that they are not asking for returned cakes in order to resell to future customers. Its just surprising that $21.00 is worth more then good customer service. Hopefully in the future they can show or actually confirm with their customers so that it doesn't...
Read moreJust got done picking up a bundt cake for my mamas birthday and while I was about to pay I saw a little flier that said “sign up for our club & get a free bundlet for your birthday” so I asked the associate if there was anyway I could get that for my mom for her birthday tomorrow? She said it needed to be the actual day of her birthday... I said you are closed tomorrow so how does that work? (Pointing out she was doing her job and very nice about it) She then went to ask which I believe to be the manager who then came out and told me they wouldn’t be able to do it because it needs to be the day of her birthday... I said again you guys are closed tomorrow.... then she said that my mom isn’t in the club... I said well I will sign her up for the club... well she would need to sign up and show us her ID to prove that tomorrow is her birthday.
So NOW I understand that! If she told me that I need to show her proof of her birthday I would have gotten that for her! Again, she should have told me that from the beginning but she just went through so many excuses after excuses not to help me out. Being in customer service myself that was horrible and not that they care I won’t be going back to this location again. The Nothin Bundt Cakes on Nevada is way better and so much...
