There is a language barrier. I booked an appointment online, when you do payment is taken at the time of booking. When I arrived for my appointment no one was up front to greet me so I grabbed the intake form you always fill out at massage places, a lady came from the back and ushered me to sit on the couch. I then 15 minutes after my appointment time was asked what I would like, when I said I had an appointment she then asked for me show her my payment receipt and then seemed annoyed that it was taking me a minute to find the email with receipt. I booked a 75 minute massage, but after it taking 25 minutes to get even have my massage start and then all the stopping and starting. I didn't even get a full 1hr. To top it off my therapist wasn't happy when the other lady told her I had already paid, I was only tipping $10 due to the fact I didn't even get my full paid massage. She guilted me saying oh no only this and holding up the money, oh oh oh no. I gave her the rest of the cash I had on me & left. I will not be returning nor will I let people...
Read moreI am sorry but this was the most unprofessional massage I have ever had in my life. We booked a couples massage for cheap and next day so I guess you really get what you pay for but the 2 ladies were talking in another language so I had no idea what they were talking (and laughing) about the whole entire time throughout the massage. They left the room multiple times to grab things or whatever, answered the shop phone to book other appointments multiple times and left the door open throughout the massage (with my butt exposed at one point). I almost felt like asking them to stop. She didn't warn me before placing hot oil or stones on me and at one point got on top of me on the table with her knee in between my legs. So so so unprofessional and the opposite of relaxing. Then had the nerve to ask if I wanted to tip afterwards and me being who I am said sure 10 dollars, regardless of the awful massage, and she said 10 dollars each? I said no total. And then she gave me a dirty look. Seriously do not waste...
Read moreI booked online, then got a call saying I couldn’t come at that time. Rebooked for later, no problem since I had the day off. Once there, I filled out the form saying neck and shoulders were my problem areas. Niu Niu confirmed those areas with me, but spent the majority of the hour on my butt. She barely spent a minute on my neck and the tops of my shoulders. As others have said, she left the room repeatedly to answer phones and deal with walk-ins and phone calls. Since the door was wide open, I heard another customer who had booked online get told that he couldn’t come at the time he booked and to come an hour later.
The tip expectation sign on the front desk is off-putting. It is common knowledge that 20% tip is an acceptable amount for a massage, but their sign starts at $20 (33%) for “Good” and goes to $30 (50%!!) for excellent. Ridiculous!
The massage was good, I just wish my neck and shoulders felt as relaxed...
