I'll try to keep it factual but with my opinion lol. It's long winded but I had to explain! Place was empty but for one silent couple waiting to leave. I wasn't sure it was even a restaurant until finally a woman greeted me. When I asked what was good/ popular, the answer was 3 of the same thing; sesame chicken, orange chicken, general tsos chicken. . . When I pressed for something more authentic such as szechuan or Kung pao, she quickly answered get the Kung pao. As I waited, a teen came to pick up his order. As I sat, I wondered 🤔 "what's that smell? It's not Chinese food". I couldn't quite place it, dirty bar, mold, must. I looked around again and started to feel a little concerned. But I was feeling good, I'd had friendly enough interaction with the service. So when it came out, I quickly drove off and then ate some in my car. The "chicken?" had an extremely unpleasant, tough and yarnlike? texture, but I'm not a big fan of meat anyway so I set it all aside foe my dogs and continued to chow down. I was happy that it was quite spicy, but I couldn't quite pin the flavor. As I noted the dish and chicken were very pink, I thought maybe they use a potent capsaicin or something. Anyway, the vegetables seemed tasty and I was satisfied well enough, though felt I'd overpaid pretty badly. Then, as I was just about 1/4 through my meal I saw this weird black thing. I was like what's that, it's too thick to be a hair. Is it a mushroom or something? Upon closer inspection, I see that it's a hair! In fact, it really resembles a pube. I flick it straigjt to the floor and then started looking for it with my damn flashlight because people have no sense of community these days...I can't find it and also realize that was a stupid effort. :( 😞 i settle on its "just" a beard, for the sake of 🤢 and to be diplomatic. I am still hungry and I contemplate letting it go. After all, I've already eaten a lot of it. I can't do it. I agonize for a while over what to do....I don't buy expensive lunches for myself often. I decide to give her a chance to make it right for both of us, and I drive back. When I go in, the lights are off and it's dark as night. I bring the food in and explain, and offer her the option to give me a meal another day. As I'm speaking, she mutters at me "I don't think so.", and continues on shaking her head insinuating that because I could not produce the hair I was lying. I was like, are you seriously calling me a liar doing all of this over a few bites of a ten dollar meal? Ridiculous. I took my money and told her that I had had every intention of being kind and giving her the benefit of the doubt and chance to fix it to avoid any issues but that I certainly no longer feel like that. This is after I had earlier paid her a quarter that she'd tried to give me for free, explaining that as a small business owner I can understand how it all counts. What a pffft.
Ps. I couldn't identify the little pink squares. They are not anemic carrots. Crunchy. Good,...
Read moreWhile the food was good when it arrived, one order was not correct and extremely spicy (so much so that it tasted like red pepper had been spilled into the food). When we called to let them know that one of the meals was not correct, they said that the meal was suppose to be that way because "we ordered it that way." Our friend had to repeat over 12 times to the man on the phone what he ordered and got no apology for the mistake. Then, they "accidentally" hung up on us. Then, when we called them back we could hear someone laughing in the background. Clearly, the hang up was not a mistake. We then asked them what they would do to correct the mistake and they finally said that they would make the dish again but we had to come pick it up! Fortunately, the place is right up the street so we did!
This establishment made a poor business decision because when we had the food delivered we actually tipped the driver close to $15. Surely, that tip justified a quick trip up the road back to us (less than $5 in gas) to get us the right meal. But, this establishment would rather risk a rating like this online vs. doing the right thing.
Also, they lost business from our other friends who we were visiting so that is now 6 people that will never order from them again because of how poorly they handled it.
Oh, and you can't contact them or make comments on their site because it has been disconnected. Clearly, customer service is not a priority to them and they are unaware of how reviews can effect...
Read moreI've eaten here quite a few times before, but when I got take out the last time, there was black fuzzy mold in my container that I noticed after taking a bite of my food that tasted.. Well.. Kinda earthy.. Like mold smells. I've worked in restaurants for many years and definitely know what is now or not.. And when I brought it back to get a refund, the woman working argued that the container was just 'burnt'... With fuzz?? When I asked her please for a refund she walked away then returned, only to tell me that she would not be returning the charge for my soup and egg roll because I didn't return them... SERIOUSLY??! I would be absolutely MORTIFIED if someone brought food that was in a moldy container back to my restaurant, but the fact that she seemed COMPLETELY un phased, AND actually had the audacity to ask me to go get the soup, that I threw away as soon as I saw the mold in my food container, out of the TRASH to return it to her in order to receive a refund... It really makes me wonder if she turned right around and served that moldy container food to someone else!!! Never have I had such a HORRIBLE experience in any restaurant EVER!! I will be calling the health department first thing tomorrow...
