It's been a long time since going to any IHOP, but I definitely won't be returning to this location. Food was "mid", as one my kids says, and that's being generous. We went a little over a week ago for dinner, and though our server had a friendly personality, she was really slow the entire time. When we first arrived, there weren't many customers, so there didn't seem to be a reason to not be more attentive. IHOP apparently no longer prints a separate kids menu with activities. The hostess/manager said she'd print some coloring pages for the kids but never did. Don't know why they don't have pages printed already to just grab when seating customers. Aside from sticker shock in general, especially at the kids' meal prices, I was blown away finding out that kids' meals don't include a free drink and are a whopping $3+. Based on the 4oz size of the kids' cups the server brought for their water, they are definitely ripping people off if that's the same size for a soda (regardless of free refills). Food was below average and definitely not worth full price. Finally, I had a coupon for 20% off that said "Order any item from the regular menu, get 20% off." The fine print said it couldn't be used with other discounts or coupons, yet they refused to apply it to our full order because my kids ordered the 2x2x2 for $7 even though I ordered a full-price item from the regular menu. The manager claimed the $7 items are "like a discount" even though the menu and sign in the window refer to it as the "new low price Monday-Friday". Since the menu listing and poster is more like a Special, I would guess that means they wouldn't have applied the coupon to the special Red, White, and Blueberry pancake item since it's not on the regular menu. The manager agreed with me that the term discount means discounts like for military or students when just showing their ID, but she still refused to honor the coupon for the full order. Very poor customer service and not how managers should handle those types of situations.

Alright, let’s dive into my IHOP breakfast saga, where the pancakes were fluffier than my attempts at flirting, but the bacon was drier than my Tinder matches. Those pancakes? Absolute stunners, stacked high and soft as a cloud’s butt, dripping with syrup so good I nearly proposed to them mid-bite. The eggs? Oh, man, they were the MVP of breakfast—sunny-side-up perfection, yolks so runny they could star in a tearjerker flick. I’d give them a standing ovation if my mouth wasn’t full. The steak tips, though? Holy hell, they were the real headliners. Juicy, tender, and seasoned like they’d been bathed in a spice wizard’s cauldron—better than the pancakes and eggs, which is like saying a superhero outshines a rock star. Those tips were so good I considered writing them into my will. But then we’ve got the bacon, which was so dry it could’ve been used as a prop in a post-apocalyptic movie. One bite, and I swear it whispered, “I’m basically jerky now, save me.” It crunched like my dreams of ever mastering a TikTok dance. And don’t get me started on the hashbrowns—those were just… meh. Limp, underseasoned, and about as exciting as a tax form. They sat there on the plate like they were auditioning for “Most Forgettable Side Dish” and nailed it. I poked them with my fork, hoping for a miracle, but they just sulked, refusing to crisp up or care. Thankfully, the service was so stellar it almost made me forget the bacon and hashbrown betrayal. Our server was a breakfast ninja, zipping around with a smile, refilling my coffee before I could even think “caffeine.” She deserves a parade, or at least a lifetime supply of those godly steak tips. IHOP, you’re a rollercoaster—pancakes and eggs had me swooning, steak tips had me writing poetry, but the bacon and hashbrowns need to enroll in flavor school. I’ll be back, probably smuggling my own bacon and a megaphone to cheer for those steak tips. 4/5 stars, because perfection is a myth, but those tips are damn close.

Decent place. Always stick with the breakfast items, those are much better. Going during the day is always better as its virtually empty. Service lacks sometimes, depending on the server. This trip we had to wait about ten minutes just for our check. Update 11/23/2018: We went there today to get something for us and the kids. My daughter wanted the whole Grinch pancake meal with the Who-Hot Chocolate. As you can see in the pictures, the pancake looks a bit darker than it was intended. The whipped cream was supposed to be green with heart-shaped sprinkles, on the pancake and the hot chocolate. Instead she gets regular whipped cream with green on her hot chocolate, that was over flowing so much, they put it on a saucer. On the pancake, there was just white whipped cream without anything else. When we asked for sprinkles, they come back with a small cup of red edible glitter type of sprinkles. I'm daughter (being 4) was really angry about it not looking like the picture. Thanks for the heads-up and for ruining a kid's dream...

What happened to you IHOP?

You guys used to be the go-to breakfast place before and during covid. Your food was delicious and cooked great. Now everything tastes old and just.... not good. Every time I come in!

Me and my girlfriend have decided you have lost our business to Village Inn. So sad to be saying that as I have fond memories of IHOP as a kid. Now, you're just a let down. It honestly started going downhill once you took the chicken florentine crepes off the menu.

The best example of the decline is evidenced by the toppings for the various pancakes.... they all taste mediocre. You're supposed to be the INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PANCAKES but you've turned into The International house of MEDIOCRITY!

EDIT 7/4/2022: I'm lowering my score from 2 to 1 star. The only reason we came today is because our kid begged for IHOP. He might be dissapointed the next time he asks though.

They were out of almost everything we wanted. They somehow ran out of turkey for the Cali Turkey Melt, even though there is a Safeway literally across the street from them. No berry lemomades. My lemon blueberry crepes were 12 dollars and included 2 decent, but very small crepes and nothing else. I made myself a whole breakfast to fill me up when I got home.

As I mentioned before, they reduced their formerly excellent menu to a lackluster selection of rather generic pancakes, crepes, and lunch items. I will never let this down as unlike many other great restaurants from my childhood, I feel absolutely zero nostalgia when eating here.

I also try my best to refrain factoring server attitude into my reviews too much, but we once again got the distant server we always get. She is not friendly at all (although not necessarily outright rude), she keeps us waiting too long even considering we are generally patient customers, and she is socially awkward enough to make the experience uncomfortable.

Lastly, we had to leave early because they had the A/C cranked so high that our kid was shivering. Real sorry for not having sweaters on hand when it's 92 degrees out! We waited 10 minutes after deciding to leave before we were able to pay our check... by asking another server to check us out.

Please can somebody buy this place, burn it down, and build a Village Inn on top. Hell, I'd even be fine...

This location does not care about the customer. I decided to give this location another try after boycotting it for over 2 years. The previous experiences were trash but that’s another story. First off I had received Haring my orange juice. I wanted to keep an open mind so I did not think too much of the situation. Things happen it could be just an honest mistake. I made no fuss about the contaminated orange juice and just didn’t drink it. Next my son’s meal came out roughly 15 minutes before my food did. Dealing with a child is tough enough but waiting another 15 minutes for me to receive my food and try to Eat dealing with a child’s attention span is next to impossible. Again I’m sure every one is doing their best so I cannot fault them for my decision to have a child and take them to a questionable ihop. After my son’s meal was served and 15 minutes passed I thought I had been forgotten. After multiple times trying to flag down any server and being bluntly ignored my food arrived. I was pretty sad to tell the truth. Everything was cold. Pancakes sausage and bacon. It seems as if some one forgot to put the food under the heat lamp. I asked the manager if there was anything she could do and she had told me that no refunds or credits were available as the meal was cooked and served as requested. I understand that companies have to keep their bottom dollar in mind for making a business successful. I just miss the days when customer satisfaction was the top priority. After all of this I still did my due diligence as a customer. Even though I was ignored I gave the waitress a 18 percent tip. Even though I had hair and cold food I paid full price. In a way this is my fair well letter to this I hope location. I strongly recommend that anyone avoids this location like the plague. I have heard better stories about the powers and Stetson hill location so I advise to go here than to waste everyone’s precious time at a location where you don’t matter and where stands...
