Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Colorado

Friendly enough and the atmosphere was what you'd expect, but I was honestly let down big-time by the burger (and I love burgers). I got a double bacon & cheese with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. It had a sweet type of taste to it, not sure if it was the bacon, the pickles or what, but it was definitely off, and the patties could not have been thinner. The bun, for what it's worth, was soft and fresh, but the whole thing just tasted wrong. I felt like I was eating a greasy piece of birthday cake. It also fell to pieces when I tried to dip it in ketchup, and I was still hungry after a meal that would typically fill me up anywhere else. Friendly staff, but gourmet prices for a burger that tasted worse than something from a Wendy's dollar menu.

Credit where it's due, food was hot and freshly made, & the wait time wasn't bad. I'm personally not a fan of shoestring fries, but I knew ahead of time that's what they had so no complaints there either.

I'm pretty sure I just got gipped. It's already hard enough inflation has caused numerous items including food to sky rocket in price. I ordered 2 fries, 1 med and 1 large. When I got to the window the young lady asked me if I wanted my fries combined. ?, I've worked in the food industry for quite a number of years and what that basically meant was, "were closing soon, and we don't want to drop fresh fries." I told the young woman that I wanted them as so, bc Its for 2 different people.. Lol, why am I even being questioned about my order if I ordered it that way? Red flag. When I got home to open my order, that's exactly what I got. Basically I could've fit all the fries from the large container into the medium. Absolutely a scam and might I add, quite lazy on the behalf of the gentleman I could clearly see bagging my order. I thought Freddy's would be a great addition to my conveniently close neighborhood, but turns out that I was incorrect. Not wanting to leave a long rant, just think you need more motivatively driven and dedicated...

Listen, I know with a hiring shortage right now it’s hard to get good employees. I came here on a random Tuesday at 3 PM and it took about 25 minutes to get my order. That is not fast food to me. Also, the food was horribly overpriced! I know you cook everything to order so I will take that into consideration for the speed. But, I will say, those are the only bad things I have to utter. The girls working there were exceptionally nice and overwhelmingly pleasant and the food tasted pretty good for fast food on a Tuesday. The chicken sandwich was probably better than the burger. I would definitely come back and give them my money, so that says something I guess.

Edit-went back today and ordered a Jalapeño pepper Jack burger, asked for just a single and they said they couldn’t do that. Weird. Got home and had no jalapeños on my burger. Weird. Ate it anyway and it was very underwhelming. Probably won’t go...
