Had a disappointing first experience with this place today. My coworkers and I ordered 6 meals to go, plus an additional side of naan. We opened the bag after pickup and saw that it was missing that additional side of naan. I called the restaurant after we discovered the naan was missing to ask them if I could get a refund on that one missing item. The man on the phone did not speak very good English, but he did understand the situation. He asked me if I wanted to come and pick up the missing naan. I told him no, we had already eaten, and we work at the hospital anyway, so we can’t just run over there. I asked him if I could just have a refund instead. There seemed to be a lot of confusion about that, and I could tell he was getting frustrated. Finally he just said he would try to do the refund and he hung up on me! I don’t know how he was going to try to do the refund, he didn’t even ask for my name or details of the order. The food was tasty, I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. It’s not the best Indian food I’ve had, but it’s pretty good. I don’t think we will be going back because of the poor customer service, but the food is decent.
EDIT: changing my review to 5 stars- the restaurant reached out and apologized for the mistake, and refunded me for the missing item. I appreciate them taking the time to do this, and respect them for acknowledging they made a mistake and...
Read moreA Highlands Ranch gem! For food, my friend and I ordered the kabob sampler, a biriyani combo that includes the following protein (veggies, mutter, chicken and shrimp), garlic naan, chai and paneer korma. The paneer korma was very creamy and the cheese was very flavorful. The biriyani was equally full of generous spices and various protein. However I recommend getting one with just one protein because we only saw about 2 shrimps and a few pieces of chicken and mutter in ours but if we got a chicken biriyani, there would have been more. My favorite was the kabob sampler because it came with a nice tangy creamy sauce and the sampler was charred nicely. The shrimp was charred perfectly (my favorite) and the chicken was super juicy and marinated very well that it fell apart (also my favorite). I'm not a red meat fan but my friend also loved the mutter. It was his first time and he did not expect it to be so juicy and chewy. The garlic naan was quite typical from other places I have eat outside of CO. The chai was not overwhelming with spices and very mild. I would like to come back and overall had a very pleasant and friendly experience here. Lunch and Dinner items are different and vary so selections are...
Read moreWhile visiting Denver, my family enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Highlands Indian Cuisine. The staff was friendly, attentive, and recommended some outstanding dishes.
We ordered Somoza chase as an appetizer - a flavor-packed chickpea-based dish with onions, chutney and yogurt. It had a delicious sweetness combined with sour and a fiery hotness that was a favorite of everyone.
The family ordered chicken tikka masala, coconut chicken curry, chicken pasanda and lamb masala. Every dish was cooked to perfection - the meat was so tender and the sauces were each unique and flavorful.
Prior to eating here, our favorite Indian restaurant was one in suburban Chicago where the owner’s father was a chef of the Maharaja. This restaurant rivaled that one with its wide array of dishes, expert preparation, and rich flavorful sauces that mixed well with the garlic Nan and the basmati rice.
One person remarked that he could eat here everyday. Definitely a five star dining experience if you are looking for an excellent Indian restaurant. Will be back here on our next...
