Gross. I knew better and almost turned around when we were walking up, but my kids wanted qdoba after a hike. First, both trashcans outside were overflowing with garbage/food, it was all over the sidewalk on the front and side of the building. Figured they were just short staffed like so many places are these days, so we went in. There were plenty of employees inside (at least 5 or 6) and only 1 lady eating, no line or anything. They were out of rice and cheese for some reason which made for very skimpy bowls that we paid over $50 for. My husband ordered a quesdilla since there wasn't any rice available, and after the 3 bowls were made without cheese and waiting at the register, someone went in the back for cheese. Okay? So, did they actually have rice too and just didn't want to go get it? Who knows. We went to sit down and not one table was clean, food and napkins all over the tables and floors, so we opted to eat in the car instead. My kids bowls were full of bean juice which was not very appetizing to have your food sitting in. We were still hungry and had to come home for a snack after paying that much for a terrible dinner. We eat at different qdoba's all the time, and this was a very disappointing experience all around.
Side note: all the employees seemed to be teenagers and probably all new, and I did feel bad for all of them. A little more training can go a long way though. I've never left a negative review before, but that location needs some work done to...
Read moreWent in at 6:30 for a burrito. Having spent 15 years working in restaurants, I get that this was post-dinner rush but the items in the line were basically empty. Employee proceeds to give me the last scoop of white rice, which I'd find out later was crunchy, plops my burrito down on a filthy assembly line, getting old, unheated/refrigerated food scraps on my tortilla, and still rolling it. I get you're busy, but a quick wipe down of food preparation surfaces would have gone a long way here.
Meanwhile, while the meats and toppings were empty, full pans of proteins and toppings were sitting in the prep area- uncovered and apparently not being cooled in an appropriate manner to reduce potential bacterial contamination from being held in the danger zone too long.
Tables were unwiped and with the old, dried out ingredients contained within, burrito was quite disappointing. I think the 2 young ladies that were working were doing the best they could, but the place was in a shambles. An extra employee to wipe down surfaces and handle proper food handling in their prep area would go a long way here.
Between the lack of sanitary practices being implemented on the line, and the obvious lack of education on food safety, this place is a ticking time bomb for food-born illness. I was too hungry at the time to have the good sense to not risk a potentially tumultuous bout of food poisoning, fortunately for me the gamble paid off. Eat here at...
Read moreWe entered the restaurant at 7:12 pm and their posted hours said 8 pm. There was only one meat available, no black beans, no white rice, no mixed vegetables, and a staff with an "I don't care attitude". After paying for our meals, we tried to sit down in a dining room where most of the tables had the chairs on top of them, and only the few remaining tables had patrons sitting at them. As we pulled down 2 chairs to make a place to sit, the employee rudely told us to put them back and not sit at tables with chairs on them. We waited for an open table and sat down in an attempt to enjoy our meals. Within a few minutes, music with excessive cursing and offensive language was turned up very loudly, while there were young children and several customers dining in still. I actually had to go back up to the counter and tell them the music is unprofessional and offensive and to turn it down. If you're gonna close off your dining room tables and not refill your food line 48 minutes before closing,....bad bad business model. The Conifer qudoba is repeatedly the worst in the business imo! Run by immature kids with terrible attitudes and no pride in themselves or their work!...
