Really disappointing. I rarely write negative reviews but feel compelled to offer a warning. I'd been here years ago and enjoyed it, so I thought it would be a nice place to bring our folks for our first meal out together since the pandemic began.
They had signs out acknowledging that they were understaffed and asking for patience, so we were prepared to cut them some slack, but we waited 25 minutes for our drinks, and when they finally came out, there was no acknowledgement of our food order. As we waited, no one looked our way, checked in on us, refilled our water, or offered any explanation or condolences for the delay. My husband got up to order drinks and asked about our food (we genuinely thought that we'd been forgotten), but was only told that they were working on it. Almost another hour went by before we finally received our food, which was very disappointing. The wings were inedible, the $12 Caesar salad was small and didn't have Caesar dressing (it was just romaine with some other dressing and croutons), my burger was just okay (though correctly cooked), my husband's chicken sandwich was a challenge to get through, and the asparagus was decent (though the fried onions on top were not worth eating). My father in law, who frankly has pretty low culinary standards, powered through his salad but pointed out that he could get an actual Caesar salad with chicken for $2 more at a steakhouse just down the street.
If the food had been that mediocre but had come out quickly, or if it had been a long wait but the food had been good, I would not be complaining. But the delay, the absolute lack of care toward our table, and the overpriced, disappointing food is just too much. I want to love and support this local restaurant, but we will not return. Any of the other nearby restaurants would be faster, better, and maybe even a...
Read moreSpent a couple of hours there today and really enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because it was VERY expensive. My son and I weren't hungry so we just got root beer floats. My wife got a root beer float and street corn. My daughter got a root beer float and a salad. The bill? Almost $85 after a 20% tip. To me, that's crazy. 4 root beer floats, a salad and an appetizer. Yikes lol.
They do things a little different than most restaurants. You order inside at a counter, you pay, you get a number and a server brings your food in a pretty timely manner. That's all fine, but that means they don't truly have servers. No one came to check on us to see if we needed anything. Again, that's fine. That's their model. Just pointing it out.
We ate outside because one family member had a dog. It was really nice but they only had a few tables with umbrellas. Those were taken so we sat at tables in the direct sun and it was uncomfortable at times. It got better when there was a little cloud cover here and there. Inside was awesome and cool, so if the dog wasn't with us I would have zero complaints there. The atmosphere was pretty cool. I nice place with very friendly staff. I didn't eat, but those that did said the food was really good!
Overall, a very pleasant experience! Had some good conversation with family that we only see once a year. Everyone that ate really enjoyed the food. And again, I can't express how friendly and enjoyable the staff was when we...
Read moreGreat find, that shouldn’t be looked over while in Evergreen. The place had a huge patio, nice dinning room and a great little bar. Their cheeseburger was simple but surprisingly delicious (cooked perfectly and juicy). All the staff were friendly and attentive. Revival also has a bunch of infused gin, vodkas, and tequila. I ended up sampling their Hellfire tequila, which was amazing and had that good burn of real pepper taste and not just hot to be hot (but still very hot that stuck with me through the whole meal). I wish I remembered what was in it but I know it had black peppercorn and then a bunch of other hot peppers. Then also along with some local draft beers they have a full bar, and I double-checked, they also have wine. A little pricey but a given in such a touristy area. Glad I stopped in and can’t wait to bring the family back so we all...
