Twisted Sugar — Restaurant in Colorado

Oof, these reviews are deceiving, unless people enjoy underbaked cookies. Ya'll really out there paying for expensive raw cookies and liking it?? I had this place saved to try because of the reviews but haven't made it in, last night we were gifted 4 cookies from our sweet neighbors. I risked getting possibly sick for 2 reasons, first because they tasted so underbaked. Second, because there are no ingredients listed on their website or on the cookie box, this bothers me most, people who run bakeries and don't list their ingredients for people with allergies. Ypu miss out on a lot of business because people can't risk it. There are hardly any varieties of cookies without frosting.....which is strange to me. We tried the lemon tart, the sugar doodle and the crinkle brownie cookie. All tasted raw and overly sweet. The brownie one tasted like the cheapest brownie box mix. I heard the nieghbor kids like the ice cream, but it is a HARD pass on...

We were driving through Montrose on vacation and noticed the twisted sugar shop. So excited to try it before we headed out of town and we got a couple cookies and two drinks and all were fantastic. The drinks were retro rock and tiger Lily and they were really good. We also got a chocolate chip cookie and a peanut butter cookie and both were also yummy. Also the inside of the shop and even the outside sort of reminded us of a old-time soda shop and it was very clean and we met the manager and she was really kind and nice and the restrooms were super clean so highly recommend if you're looking for a little snack and a drink this is a great place to go. There were a ton of options for drinks and the manager was really great about guiding us to just pick our favorite base flavor. So if you like Sprite, get a Sprite based drink and that really helped.
