So we went to Cuba Cuba a few nights ago and had a great time. This location is stylish and cozy with a great atmosphere. For appetizers, we ordered the Ham Crockett's, the manchego cheese and mushroom empandas, as well as the Cubano empandas. The croquettes were nicely done they were light in texture and well balanced. As for the empandas, they were both magnificently balanced in flavours and textures( both had different style wrapping, which complimented the fillings nicely), but the Cuban one was just a cut above the rest. It's a refreshing presentation ( making a Cubano a tunoverš ) to a great classic. For dinner, we ordered the Ropa Vieja with tostones(fried plantains) along with rice and beans. We also ordered a Palomilla Steak with salda and tostones. Both dishes were superb and expertly rendered, the steak was soft and tastefulf and the Ropa Vieja was silky and complex. To drink, we had rum and cokes (Cuba Libres) with white Bacardi Rum, and they were excellent. And to finish it, all of we ordered Cuban sandwiches to go š¤£š¤£! The sandwiches were just awesome!! Overall, it was a great meal at an awesome location. The staff is uber attentive, but the music is to die for! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for good Cuban food at great prices in an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe vibes are off the charts here. It feels like you're walking through a portal to a beachside sandwich shop in Miami. It's as close to authentic as I've had from a casual sit-down place, and will hit the spot for sure if you're craving a medianoche. The mojo sauce is On. Point. Really nice, crusty, warm bread. Most times I've been there the pork is perfectly seasoned, practically dripping in it's slow-cooked broth. The steak is typically pretty good, but during a rush it may be dry or cooled off a bit just due to the line, as one could expect from anywhere. All that being said, it is a bit pricey (but nowadays, what isn't?!) My walk away ticket after tax was just under $25, after tax and tip. Reasonably priced, good food, and honestly, I wouldn't blame anyone for just coming for the sides. The Maduros (fried, ripe, plantains) are fire. The mojo fries, man, those are killer too. And even the beans and rice, salty, citrusy, you...

They only do fried yuca - not the traditional soft/ boiled -con mojo. Service was just ok. There was one other table of two who looked like they were pretty much done just drinking... there were four employees we looked at the menu for a little bit but ended up having to go inside to let someone know we were ready to order after our food came we were pretty much done before anyone came to check how it was and if everything was okay which bothers me I live by the two bites 2 minute rule you should check on how someone's food is within two by two minutes because if there's an issue or problem you don't leave them sitting there for 30 minutes fortunately everything was fine minus the beans...
