Donuts are always decent but the customer service is horrible. Iāve gone back 3 times now, trying to give them the benefit of a doubt. Each time Iāve gone in they are never happy, never greet me and always act like Iām inconveniencing them by ordering their donuts? The second time the man at the counter literally threw my receipt at me, not exaggerating it slipped out of my hand and he threw it back to me angrily. I waited a few months and finally went back a third time to see if it was any better this time, an older lady (possibly the owner or long time employee) checked us out and she was upset. Making us feel rushed when we were trying to decide on which donuts we wanted and told us we were wrong when we wanted to put donut holes in with our dozen box order. We were receptive of course and listened but I donāt understand the angry tone. We order these for the entire office and get two or three dozen every time we go in but I will never go back. Iāve tried three times and each time the customer service is so horrible I end up leaving upset somehow when I was excited to get donutsā¦? Very weird to treat people that are paying for your donuts this way.. Iām in and out within 10 minutes each time you would think that wouldnāt be so hard to be courteous or at the bare minimum decent to your customerās. Will be going to YUMMYS from now on, theyāve always been...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSept. 12, 2023 must have been an off day for them. My family and I absolutely LOVED this place and I would've testified in court that they were the best in town!! Granted we've not been there for about three months but that made me look even more forward to stopping. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite after a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and I'm shocked at the food we got. He got an apple fritter, I got a jelly doughnut and I grabbed a maple longjohn for a friend. The fritter was flat and he was disappointed that it was really really greasy. I picked up my jelly doughnut and took one bite and it was a greasy mess too. I layed it down and I saw I had a visibly oily wet grease on my fingers. That was when I noticed that there was a pool of grease in the bottom of the box. I've never ever ever had that experience there which is why we went anytime we were in CoMo. This made us so sad. I looked at the longjohn I grabbed for my friend and the grease had soaked almost through the box by the time we got to Jeff City!
People I really hope we caught them on just a bad day or that the original owners haven't sold the business to someone that doesn't know what their doing. I want to LOVE this place again!!! I'm going to be in CoMo again next week and if course I'll try them again but I just can't give them the rave review I've given them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went for the first time yesterday. The donuts are delicious! More on the flavors in a minute. What I was tickled pink about is that our leftover donuts were still good this morning! The donuts from commercial places are dry and hard by the next morning. Not Ellianna's!! They had dried out just a tiny bit, but they were still very soft and still delicious as I ate them cold out of the box. I didn't have to stick them in the microwave with a cup of water to make them edible. To me that is just amazing! Now back to the donut flavors. I'm a diehard Dunkin Boston Creme donut girl. Correction, I was a diehard Dunkin Boston Creme donut girl. Ellianna's version takes the shape of a long john with that yummy custard inside! Just as or more tasty than Dunkin and you get more bang for your buck. Their old fashioned donut tastes very similar to a Krispy Kreme crueller, only WAY better and you don't get left with that weird waxy feeling in your mouth after eating one. Their twists are simple, elegant, delicious. As for the regular donuts with sprinkles, they don't skimp on the sprinkles. My kid LOVED them. And my husband loved his long johns and...
