Now take this with a grain of salt. But for years there was a manager named Mike, he would greet me pleasantly, memorized my orders and would recommend new items to me, making my transaction at the store pleasant. He was always cheerful and I have recommended people to go in and ask Mike what to order since he was very personable and willing to help. I went into the store Monday evening and the experience changed drastically. The transaction occurred like this, (I was the only one who walked in) I got zero greeting, the woman in the light blue shirt just looked at me. As I was looking at the menu I ordered a tuna, and she just said what else. And I ordered my second sandwich, which she just followed with are you getting anymore? I was immediately put off. Zero life zero conversation, and I just felt awkward as it definitely seemed like she was trying to get me out of the store asap. The woman in theight blue shirt handed me my sandwiches and just turned away and didn't even respond to my thank you. Which is fine, but it just left a horrible taste in my mouth. She didn't offer assistance to the obvious new customer behind me, and the atmosphere was just rushed. The young lady behind the register was good, she smiled and conversed a little, and she was pleasant. But the worker in the lighter uniform was just rude. Read moreI was in from Springfield, where our local Jersey Mike's is an excellent gluten free option, so I popped an online order in on our way out of town and when I went to pick up the shop was a wreck of cross contamination.
The paper used to roll the sandwiches was the "gluten free surface" and therefore was rolled around the sandwich, gross chopping board debris and all.
They didn't use the separate allergy bins like in Springfield and the whole work surface was full of crumbs and the bins had food from other bins mixed into them.
When I requested a refund, the individual who made my sandwich was openly frustrated for my high maintenance behavior and then they threw away the sandwich in front of me in a rude manner.
Overall, if you are someone who has allergies, I recommend...
Read moreTwice, the crew at this Jersey Mikes has gone above and beyond. One of my kids has some health issues and wanted to try mustard for the first time, on only half his sandwich, in case he didn’t like it. The crew cut the sandwich in half and wrapped it separately so as not to contaminate the other side with mustard. It was such a considerate thing to do. And today, we went in and asked for a plain salami sandwich. One of the crew members asked if the no cheese request was because of a dairy allergy. I said yes. He then asked if we preferred the gluten free bread and if I would like him to clean the slicer before he cut her salami. I was beyond impressed with the kindness we’ve experienced with this crew at this location. They...
