I recently had the pleasure of dining at Murry’s, and I must say, it was quite an enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself had a cozy and inviting ambiance, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal. The attentive and friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere.
Now, let's talk about the food – the star of the show. After hearing great things, I decided to go for the Philly cheese steak, and I'm glad I did. The sandwich was a flavor explosion that tickled my taste buds in all the right ways. The combination of tender meat, melted cheese, and potentially sautéed onions and peppers created a delightful symphony of flavors.
The quality of the ingredients was evident with every bite, and it was clear that the chef knew their craft well. The bread was fresh and perfectly toasted, providing a satisfying crunch to contrast the soft and savory fillings. The presentation was also appealing, with the sandwich plated thoughtfully.
I'd rate the Philly cheese steak at Murry’s an impressive 8.5 out of 10. It surpassed my expectations and left me craving more. While there's always room for improvement, this dish truly stood out as a highlight of the meal. It's rare to find a place that nails such a classic comfort food item with finesse.
Overall, my experience at Murry’s was delightful. The combination of great food, pleasant ambiance, and attentive service makes it a restaurant I'd recommend to fellow food enthusiasts. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a relaxed dining experience, Murry’s has something to offer – especially if you're a fan of a fantastic Philly...
Read moreI give Murry's a 5 star because I've always had excellent service and amazing food here. We are regular customers, and until tonight, have had nothing but positive experiences. Tonight, we came in for our usual late night drink and dinner. We always sit at the bar, and enjoy the banter back and forth between the bartender and ourselves. Rob is our usual bartender, and is beyond amazing! He was off tonight, in fact, he was out of state. The bartender in his place (didn't catch her name), did not live up to the quality service that we have been accustomed to. She appeared to be annoyed at our drink requests, and shunned our questions regarding the menu items. The food was excellent as usual, however, the service continued to go downhill. We each had one drink, and when I requested a second drink, the bartender refused to serve me another. Her reasoning? She stated that it appeared that I had already drank enough. I had just gotten off of work, and was just wanting to relax. I was enjoying myself, and winding down from a 12 hour shift. After a long day at work, one might be slap happy, but not enough for someone to state that they were inebriated. This was my first and only drink of the day, and I am not a "lightweight ". Was I squinting too much at the ballgame on TV because my glasses were left on my desk at work? Is someone inebriated because they ask the other consumers what the score is because they can't read the small print? I will, from now on, call ahead of time to get a staffing schedule before showing up. I felt disrespected, shamed and wrongfully judged by...
Read moreI was taken here for a business dinner. The place was so dark inside I could barely see anything, even after my eyes adjusted to the darkness. But that's just atmosphere, no big deal. The thing that really bothered me was that this place was screaming 'high end' but their food was a lie! (Even my drink I ordered wasn't made right, and it wasn't anything fancy.) I ordered the PJ's Grilled cheese sandwich, (which I had to ask what was on it) and was told it was cheese and grilled veggies. It's $15. Keep that in mind. When they brought it out I saw mushrooms poking out, which I dislike, but no big deal I'll just pick them off. I lift the bread and get this: the cheese they used was PACKAGED AMERICAN CHEESE! It was unmistakable given that it was still in the process of melting against the bread. This is unforgivable, and by no means high end. If I hadn't been there in a professional situation I would've sent it back to the kitchen and left. I'm really not sure why this is a popular classy place with the locals. They didn't have many menu options and never offered to modify any when I mentioned a dietary restriction. (I ate my food to be polite, but by the time I returned to my hotel I felt so ill I ended up throwing up, and then immediately feeling better.) Wow, that's a long review, but just...
