I ordered a RUEBEN. It was THE WORST RUEBEN I have ever had in my 55 years of life. The meat was over cooked, I couldn’t find the Swiss cheese, sauerkraut or dressing. Over cooked, too salty, and the toast was a sponge of grease. I would take a photo but I threw it out the door for the dogs after two bites. If the cook is interested in a lesson on how to prepare an edible Rueben, worthy of the title please reach out and I’ll be glad to teach him the true art of making a classic Rueben. This might help:
Directions Step 1 Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the non-butter side spread Thousand Island dressing on each slice. Top half of the slices with Swiss cheese, corned beef, and sauerkraut. Top each sandwich with remaining slices, dressing side down. Step 2 Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Place a sandwich in skillet and cook until golden and cheese is melted, 3 minutes per side.
The end results should come close to the photo I attached to this review.

Read moreI’ve gotten take out orders from this location before and have never had an issue with quality of food. However, this experience was not the same as you can see from the photo of the burnt meatloaf. I’ve ordered the meatloaf two times before, and it was fabulous. This time…not so much. It seems like there may be an issue with consistency. I say this because the last two times I received meatloaf, it was in the form of a slice. With this experience, it looks like it was in the form of its own individual loaf, which would be fine if the quality of the finished product was as good as previous experiences. Two stars given because the mashed potatoes were great, and the catfish that my mother ordered was delicious. Ultimately, I would still order from there as this is the first (and hopefully only) time i’ve had a...
Read moreThis is a hidden treasure. I live alone so no longer really cook. Eating out gets old because most restaurants are mainly steak, salad and baked potatoes. Old Glory with its home style menu is what I needed. I try to do takeout at least 2x/wk. The menu is full of items such as meat loaf, pork chops, spaghetti, country fried steak, chicken tenders and one of my favorites.. fried fish. Nice size filets, you can get 1-3, delicious Cole slaw, and I always get green beans, for every meal & a lot of times as my double side. I’ve never been a fried fish person but I am now. They also have specials & my favorites are broccoli cheese chicken casserole and chicken noodle soup. Both are loaded with chicken. The sandwiches are outstanding and the desserts are good. Price is reasonable and the food is great. What more could...
