So we placed an impromptu online order recently and were incredibly impressed. The food was ready quickly, and we even arrived like 5 minutes before the confirmed time. The staff was super attentive when I walked in as two different waitresses made sure I had what I needed. I must admit that I want to go back and eat in person as the atmosphere was so inviting when I walked in to get my order. I didn’t really know what to expect, but it was just lovely. I wish I’d thought to grab pictures. Anyway, I broke into my food immediately once I got back in the car (my son was driving, and I was huuuungry). I’d say I took all of 10 minutes to eat it! I’m a fast eater anyway, but it was delicious - all of it. The turnip greens, roll, roast beef and gravy, and cooked apples - all of it was perfectly flavored, and praise the Lord, was not over-salted. (I’ve had my share of over-salted food.) Anyway, once we got to where we were going, my son broke into his meal - mac n’ cheese, green beans, country fried steak, cream corn, and hush puppies. He was equally impressed, although admittedly he got so full and couldn’t eat the hush puppies. But I feel certain they would have been just as good as everything else. We loved our first experience with Old Glory and will definitely be back.

(Full Menu) (see photos) Well, Well, Well! What a surprise! Great food at a reasonable cost. What we had for lunch: Wife had: Fried Catfish (she loved it) and hush puppies ( cooked perfectly) Turnip greens ( no meat for you vegetarians) Potato salad , ( loved it) I had: Meatloaf without the tomato sauce on top, which is ketchup by the way. Green beans that could also be another vegetarian dish, Mashed potatoes, which were perfect and had some really nice butter, texture, and flavor in it., And two yeast rolls ( comes with one, get 2 you won’t regret it) Highly recommended to just south of downtown off of US 31 She did order the blackberry cobbler and says it’s really good

The staff was absolutely great! Our server was very patient and checked on us often. The food came out with good timing. The Ruben and Collard greens rival some of the best out there! And the portions match the price. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO TRY THE REST OF THE MENU!!!! Plus they have a huge dessert menu!

If you’re craving a meal that feels like it came straight out of grandma’s kitchen, this is the place to be. Every dish tastes homemade—seasoned just right, hearty, and made with care. What I loved most is that nothing feels rushed or overly processed. This iss the kind of food that reminds you of Sunday dinners with family. The portions are generous, the staff treat you like an old friend, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

If you miss the comfort of a real home-cooked meal, this restaurant is as close as it gets to sitting at...
