I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Smith's Hotel and Bar, and I must say it was a complete disappointment. I feel compelled to share my negative experience with others to save them from wasting their hard-earned money.
We decided to give Smith's a chance AGAIN and ordered eight subs for our family. Little did we know that this would turn out to be yet another regrettable decision. The first thing that struck us was the poor quality of the bread. It was hard as a rock and tasted incredibly stale.
What made matters worse was the complete lack of customer service when we called to voice our concerns. The owner, who answered the phone, treated us as if we were lying about the poor quality of the subs. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she stated that we were the only ones complaining. Her response was, "Well, I don't know what you want me to do." This kind of dismissive attitude only further added to our disappointment.
As a family that rarely eats out, we were looking forward to a pleasant dining experience, but Smith's Hotel and Bar turned out to be a huge letdown AGAIN. We will stick to The Grille on Roseville Rd near the Walmart instead.
I strongly urge anyone reading this review to steer clear of Smith's Hotel and Bar. The subs were simply disgusting, with hard and stale bread that ruined the entire meal. The owner's unhelpful and dismissive response to our complaint only added insult to injury. Save yourself the disappointment and try The Grille on Roseville Rd instead. You...
Read moreSo I went and ordered a sub with my beloved boyfriend and instead of getting the actual sub I had in FACT ordered (cheese sub with all the vegetables. ALL.(definitely pickles after being asked if I wanted pickles**) (with the witness of my boyfriend) I only received a lettuce sub with some (or more so nothing) up there. Just lettuce ...some green pepper ..and moyanoise and mustard. While she made sure to confirm my boyfriends order (while in fact making googly eyes with him) I find it the most outset rude being when we came back She made sure to ask only him if he wanted cheese on his sub and not at all ask me whether or not I wanted cheese on mine (though I had only ordered a cheese sub with all the veggies) may sound out if character for a taken lady but I can't verbalize the outmost disrespect I felt ordering my sub with my loved one one an entire inch away and it should never be felt due to some little girl feeling she needs to take a gallop down memory lane and disrespect an obviously taken individual. (Me) (oh and sorry to mention, him too) however when I got home and opened my sub everything had to literally be placed on my sub by MY boyfriend which coincidentally distracted the little blonde lady in the first place. Completely disturbing experience. Perhaps teach your little high school ladies to have some respect. If not that then what service is anyone receiving...
Read moreSat down at an inside table with two other tables already served and three people at the bar. We waited 10 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted drinks. When they arrived we ordered two cheesesteaks, and FF'S. That took 30 minutes before the cheesesteaks arrived cold, and had to be sent back. Nobody ever asked if we wanted refills on our drinks so apparently there might be a one drink per cheesesteak ratio! The cheesesteaks were tasteless and if you remember Cold! Oh do not order an Italian sub unless your looking for disappointment. Very little meat, which is cut so thin it's anorexic! So thin the meat and cheese only has one side to the slice and no taste! Additionally some young guy from the kitchen staff kept opening the door to the dining room and stood in the doorway staring at people. Maybe he is responsible for my cold food! I know the Smith Hotel is still in the family but it is very apparent the Smith Brothers are no longer involved, because none of this would take place! One of you need to jump on and show the kids how to...
