We arrived for brunch on Saturday morning. It was about 10:50, doors were unlocked, no sign on the doors posted of hours, and again we were there for their Brunch menu. So we walked in the door and stood at the hostess stand, and was informed by a lady that they were closed until 11:00. No worries and we offered to go back out and wait, as we were waiting on a couple more people on our party to show up. We had 11:00 reservations. I do find it odd that the door was unlocked and there's no hours posted though. As we were waiting out there, the lady came out and got us to go ahead and seat us. We told her we would wait until 11:00 opening time and she said to come on in anyways and sit down. So we did so. The other girls in our party arrived within a couple minutes and sat down as well. Two waitresses came over and asked for our drink order. We told them we realized they weren't open yet, and we would wait and they both said no it was fine. So we gave them our drink orders, which was water for everybody and iced tea for a couple of us. They came back out with the iced teas, and one of the ladies in our group had decided to pass on the tea after all (she likes it brewed a little more than what theirs was). It was extremely light, but I like my tea light, so I just drank mine and hers (saving them from bringing me a refill out that soon). Evidently one of the waitresses did not like that the tea was turned down, and she reported it to somebody else that I assume what's the manager? She came over and asked how we were doing, and pointed out that there was an issue with the iced tea. There was no issue, she just decided she didn't want the iced tea and I drank it instead. No issue whatsoever on our end! So I am not sure if the tea issue, the showing up early issue, or what was going on, but our waitress came across every table visit as if she just did not want to come to our table. She said all of the right customer service words like how's your meal, eant a drink refill, thank you for coming Etc. But she just had a bit of an attitude. This was the dark-haired taller girl. There was a light haired girl that was with her that was very friendly and very welcoming. I'm not sure which waitress was who, but are receipt says Alyssa. We all got something different for food, and everybody liked what they had. This was my first time at this location, but the ambience and decor was similar to the other locations. We will be back again, just later in the day and hopefully not with the same...
Read moreWe arrived on time with reservations on NY Eve. The hostess advised they were running late & we would have a wait. When asked for a time estimate, she replied "I have no idea." This was unhelpful, clueless, & kinda rude all at once. Isn't that part of the hostess job?
We waited in the unheated foyer, the only available place to wait, where we were hit with a blast of freezing air whenever the door was opened.
After 35-40 mins. we were seated. We placed our drink orders about 30 minutes after sitting down, though the waiter apologized several times about not being able to get to us. As he was the only waiter for the entire side section of approx. 50 people, we were inclined to be forgiving.
Despite clarifying to him which cocktail I wanted when he read back the wrong one, I received the wrong one anyway. After that wait I wasn't going to send it back, so I accepted it without complaint.
It took another 20 mins to place our dinner orders but despite waiting about 45 mins, we still had nothing except bread. Finally the waiter stopped by and admitted he'd forgotten to place our order with the kitchen. He flipped through his scratch pad to look for and confirm what we'd ordered. With apologies he rushed to place our order and from that point our salads/entrees came out fairly quickly.
My husband greatly enjoyed his chicken caprese while my spaghetti pomodoro was disappointing. I first tried to order the eggplant Parmesan but they were out. I have ordered the spaghetti before and it used to be prepared with plentiful & large cubes of mozzarella. When the dish came, no mozzarella cubes at all! Without the cubes, this dish of plain spaghetti & sauce is extremely overpriced. The house salad & bread are great.
Later our waiter broke out in song to our section and sang to the tune of Willie Nelson's "You Were Always On My Mind" with words about how "maybe he didn't serve us quite as quickly as he could have" and "we were always on his mind". It was quite charming.
The food and service at this restaurant has gone downhill over the approx 5 years we have been coming here. That's a shame because it used to be our favorite...
Read moreIt was absolutely terrible I took my friend there for his birthday and they had a huge party in the back so they were using back of waiters and waitresses waited almost 20 minutes for my first drink when my pasta came out it was cold on top and warm on the bottom the steak was overcooked regardless if the manager came by or not I told him things were not great and we had waited and there was really no effort to make things better I have been here a few times one really great experience one so-so and now this one which was terrible for so many places to choose to take someone for their birthday this was a complete fail on their part. The manager offered no compensation the only thing that was really that good was the mocktail it was delicious unfortunately it's $7 a piece and you don't get a refill. I would not recommend this location I would not recommend this restaurant choose something different if you're going to go to a restaurant for a birthday or special occasionthis was absolutely terrible and the fact that the manager would do nothing about what had happened and said it was normal that the food take almost 20 to 25 minutes to arrive to the table is a little crazy. Especially when a dish is not fully heated to the correct temperature the chicken was overcooked also in the pasta. My water was refilled one time and my waitress never came back at one point we asked for balsamic and olive oil which she said she would check on and never returned with an answer. Also you can clearly see they're only focus was the huge party in the back. I spent over $100 bantu people and I could have went to longhorn and spent $50 on two people and had a...
