Tulip Cafe in Columbus, Ohio, is an absolute gem of a place that transports you to the heart of Turkey with its authentic flavors and warm atmosphere. My visit was nothing short of spectacular, and I simply cannot recommend it enough.

The moment I stepped into the cafe, I was greeted with a welcoming ambiance and an enticing aroma that hinted at the culinary treasures that awaited me. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home.

Their Börek is an absolute must-try! The delicate, flaky layers of phyllo pastry combined with a savory filling of feta cheese and spinach created a perfect balance of flavors that left me craving more. It was evident that Tulip Cafe takes great care in crafting their Börek, making it a true standout dish.

But the star of my visit was undoubtedly their Turkish coffee. Rich, aromatic, and just the right amount of sweetness, it was a cup of pure bliss that transported me to the streets of Istanbul. The presentation was beautiful as well, served in a traditional cezve and accompanied by a small, delicious piece of Turkish delight.

I have been here twice and I have to say this is such a lovely cafe!! Everyone here is extremely kind and welcoming. I don’t have much experience with Turkish food, but both times they’ve been willing to explain and answer any questions I had. The second time I came I was given complementary Turkish coffee & a Turkish delight treat while I waited for my food. It was such a kind gesture and gave me the opportunity to try something I likely wouldn’t have ordered on my own. The food…the food is so flavorful and delicious! I mean my taste buds haven’t experienced flavors quite like this anywhere else! I obviously like meat, but there are meatless options available as well. The cafe area is small, but it’s been empty both times I’ve come in so not really an issue. Overall, the Tulip Cafe is a great Turkish bakery/restaurant right here in northwest Columbus! A must visit if you want to awaken...

This place has been on the “to try” list for a while and now that we have… WOW! We ordered an assortment of items to share and everything was delicious, but the potato borak was out of this world. Even more enjoyable than the food, if that’s even possible, was the hospitality. I’d ordered ahead for pickup but when I arrived, found the order had been misplaced. It was an accident, absolutely no harm done and I wasn’t troubled by it. However, the owner still insisted on preparing a cup of coffee and a couple of little treats to snack on while I waited. Rarely have I experienced such genuine kindness from a stranger. I felt cared for not as a customer, but as family. To the owners - I’ve had a tough couple of years with the loss of my parents and spending a few moments with you today was a genuine pleasure. Hugs...
