The place that keeps on changing. I left a review once â they changed their DJ after I put it up. I feel compelled to leave another one again since stuff has changed. 18+ audiences deserve much better without having to break the law by getting a fake ID. On average, it's satisfactory. It does get better, but I definitely can see the other side.
It's an okay place, but 18+ audiences deserve much better than this alone. It is the biggest bar I know of in Central Ohio, and luckily (at least as of now) no one has to pay cover until 10PM. The DJ has changed again, and while it is nowhere near comparable to DJs like the big names of Cedric Gerivas or Sickick, or even local DJs from Northern California like Jimmy Hits and Dayvie, the style has definitely improved. I just wish that the DJ would not just be robot-like, interact with the crowd, look like he's having fun instead of standing like a statue or an office worker.
I think this place needs to do better when it comes to posting house rules. A sign should be put up saying what we can and can't wear. ATMs at the venue are hit or miss. The place bans males from wearing sagging pants (requiring all men to wear belts), and it does seem like that bouncers, while extremely nice to me as well as the most feminine guests and respectful men, seem a little bit unprofessional. I doubt that there will be too much change given that the owner of Bulls additionally owns Standard, Big Bar, and numerous other locations in the Columbus area.
When I lived in San Francisco, I was spoiled in nightlife with choice, opportunity, humanity, and liveliness. Here, I only get the latter two.
In order for this place to recover from the reputation that it has, I would urge management to consider theming nights a little bit more, improving transparency when it comes to house rules, improving security with pat-downs to prevent something or someone REALLY bad from coming in, and providing more amenities than just an arcade-style punching game. Consider even a major expansion in opening a second DJ room (based on what I here about the ownership they can more than afford), offering free water, and switching up the DJ a bit more other than just one resident. Additionally look at a deep cleaning and a...
Read moreMUSIC IS HORRIBLE. That's the most important part of any club and they failed on that. All they play are terrible remixes to old songs and decades old style of dubstep. EVERY time I've given this place a chance they're playing the same bad music in the same order and EVERY single time they've played Everytine We Touch by Cascada. Seriously?
Drinks are priced nice, but they should be seeing as how they're regular and watered down. I will say the bathrooms are nice and spacious and so is the venue itself. But unfortunately the terrible music ruins it.
Also if you want to get groped and grabbed without permission for a dance then this is the place for you. Guys won't take no for an answer and get rather nasty when rejected here. People are constantly shoving into each other here and drunk girls will make you spill your drink. You're not at Bulls unless you get shoved away from your friends by a train of 8 girls with their arms linked; don't even think you can do anything until they pass.
Overall not worth going for the rude teens, watered down drinks and just god-awful music. It's only slightly enjoyable if you're absolutely wasted or have no other experience with club life. Just download a strobe light app on your phone and dance in your room by yourself, you'll have a...
Read moreCame from Canada to visit my boyfriend and friends and we were confused why every time we walk by this place it looks empty whereas other local bars that are so much smaller have HUGE lines every night. Expected to pay at least a $30 cover for three of us to get in on a Friday night but we were told the bouncer had to hold my phone while I take out $5.00 cash at their ATM inside in order to get inside since Iâm not a student at OSU. Not an issue except for the ATM didnât work for any of us, the people in line in front of us or the people behind us. The gentleman in front of us had to break a $100 bill to pay a $5.00 cover and it looked like the broad behind the bar paid him in one dollar bills? We asked the bartender if they did cash back or could add the $5.00 to our bar tab we were about to open and we got attitude from us and were told no so we went to one of the smaller nearby bars and fully understand why this place looks dead from the street now. What a joke of an establishment, all for $5.00? Our bar tab would have been over ten times that by the end of the night but yes, turn away everyone who doesnât have a buck id and ignore the fact your ATM is busted and get annoyed when paying customers who would also be tipping you by the end of the night ask...
