Order #: 6666
Team Member: Ian
Register: 55
Total $13.91
Manager on duty(?): Micah
TL DR: Team member Ian attempted to charge me 25¢ for a pup cup, citing policy regarding the ability to see a dog in the car. I left with the pup cup without paying the nominal free, after having an overall unkind experience with everyone I came into contact with except Micah.
The team member who took my order in the left lane of the drive thru refused to add a pup cup, after asking me if my dog was in the car. After informing her that my dog was at home, she gave me a puzzled look and seemingly used her headset to ask someone in the store what the price of a pup cup is. Before long she muttered out the price: 25¢
Mind you I’ve never paid for a pup cup in the dozens of times I’ve secured the sweet treat for my mutt, whether he was in the car or not. At this point, I told the team member to just forget it and that I would like to speak to Karen if she was available. She didn’t remark on Karen’s availability, instead suggesting I take it up with the team at the window. Upon arriving at the window and confirming my name I was given my food and told to have a good day. The young girl who handed me the food exchanged a laugh with the other, older, lady team member at the window.
Upon noticing this I asked to speak with Karen, the boss of the store who has always went above and beyond to produce positive experiences for customers. Since I moved to far east Columbus, this location is the closest and most convenient. Under Karen’s leadership the store grew another lane in the drive thru that wraps around the store. Until today I’ve never had an experience like this at her store, nor have I had the time to write a report about a cadre of unkind individuals who’ve snuck their way into the ranks.
Before I go further I want you to know that I fully grasp the unserious nature of writing such an essay about a small negative part of my day. However, The Ohio State Buckeyes football team doesn’t play until 7:30 this evening, so I and millions of Buckeye alumni (and fans) have time today.
I wish the staff would’ve listened to Micah when he said “it’s a pup cup, just give it to him”, because he had to step away from the queue of orders to deal with something he knows isn’t worth his time. He ended up giving me the pup cup visibility frustrated after telling me that’s what he was going to do. Micah did his best to clean up the mess, but the damage has already been done.
After leaving, I called the support number and shared my experience with her. She told me that while different stores have different rules, they shouldn’t be enforced as arbitrarily as they seem to have been in this case.
If it turns out that pup cups are actually a quarter if your dog isn’t in the car, then I owe this chik fil a couple dollars worth of quarters. Lastly, as someone raised southern Baptist, it’s not lost on me that my order number contained a string of sixes in the last three days of October.
I know experiences like these are uncommon. I also know that many people will eat chik fil a their entire lives without ever checking the reviews. I guess I’m writing this in the hope that someone that gets paid to read and respond to reviews will do what they need to do to ensure this message reaches Karen.
I love Chik Fil A, but certain individuals at this location have left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope management will use this review as motivation to ensure all team members there are on the same page. This was my first bad experience with the brand where it didn’t seem like anyone’s pleasure to serve me.
Thanks...

You can feel the "better than thou" energy...not from the staff though. Staff were great! I forget the name of the man that took my order but he was very polite.
The two men at the register were very kind, paid attention/looked out for a small child that came up to the counter without her parent and asked for ice cream. They were very sweet towards the girl and I was greatful that they didn't see her as an annoyance, but as an excited kid about ice cream. Had this happen anywhere else, staff would have a whole attitude about it. Thier reaction to her made me so happy inside!
The man I personally spoke to that took my order was very patient with my friend and I. It took a little longer because I didn't want nuggets at first, until I realized it was about the only food that didn't have veggies attached to it (iykyk). Either way, he was very patient and allowed us to order.... WITHOUT interrupting ❤️❤️❤️ He waited for us to pause before he asked if there was anything else we needed. I usually get rushed at any restaurant to make a decision, so this for me was important and I'm grateful he took my order!
All of the staff that checked in on my friend and I, I was weary about at first (iykyk) but my friend told me it was literally a part of thier hospitality and they weren't checking in to rush us out or assume anything. After about the 2nd time a lady asked if we were okay (staff), I felt a bit better about it. She was really pleasant!
Overall, the location was great and my experience was fine.
The only thing I'd suggest: People watch where they walk as cars turn fast into the drive-thru...where the door is to enter is directly in front of the...
Read moreCHIC FIL A EASTON TOWN CENTER Unfortunately my experience wasn’t a good one. Tonight I left with a bitter taste in my mouth and not from the food. The food was awesome nicely seasoned and all around great. Typically I have great service as well but I normally go during the day. I’m not sure what kind of day the young woman at the counter was having this evening however, her attitude was disgusting. I went through the drive thru to place my order and ended up having to go in to get a missing part of my order. Initially I was confused thinking I didn’t receive my kids’ meal which the woman pointed out but something was still missing. Looking at my receipt I showed the young woman where my meal was missing a fry in which I paid for. She didn’t care to look at the receipt and just stood there starring at me as if she wasn’t going to do anything. I asked her is she going to get my fry? To which she replied “somebody get this girl a manager and her fry before she loses it” & then stormed to the back where the cooks where. Next thing I know cooks are poking their heads around looking at me saying “someone better get her” as if me asking for my fry was absurd. I get it we all have bad days and we’re all human. But to make someone feel like they can’t go in to an establishment show proof of purchase and receive their entire purchase without being greeted with a nasty attitude over a job no one asked her to take is distasteful. I’d rather take my business elsewhere if that’s the behavior that is tolerated and never did a manager come to diffuse the situation, he seemed pretty busy at the window so who knows what will come of this but the young woman definitely needs coaching or a different job placement preferably not being the first line of...
