So tonight we were disappointed with Chili’s YET AGAIN. We have supported this restaurant for years but unfortunately will be forced to withdraw our support. We ordered an ‘old timer’ burger extra well done from the Dublin/Granville Rd. location and heard the server say she would tell the chef. We ordered over the phone and picked the order up curbside. When we returned home to sit down for dinner I bit into the burger and it was raw! Not a huge deal but needs to be made right—right? As with anything, it’s not the problem, those will no doubt occur, but rather it’s the response to the problem. We called to speak with a manager and PHIL got on the line. Phil unfortunately has ZERO business/professional skills and basically placed the blame on us. His response was “I’m looking at the order and see no special instructions.“ Is that our problem? NO! After he basically dismissed my wife as an airhead I joined the conversation-he didn’t know he was on speakerphone and myself along with our 2 children could hear him. As I began to voice my disappointment, since it was my dinner, his response was “oh I didn’t realize this was a three way call”. I told him it was my dinner so I felt as though I should speak up, he said “well before I was interrupted I was going to issue a gift card”. He ultimately HUNG UP ON ME!!! CLICK!! That was the true Phil! Phil could have easily practiced very basic de-escalation tactics and resolves the issue. Instead he chose to fuel our frustrations with his arrogant/unprofessional posture. His response should have been “we fell short tonight how can we make this right.” Chili’s, you can keep my money but I’ll also tell everyone who’ll listen about Phil’s business etiquette deficit along with your incredible lack of customer service. good Luck. Anyone questioning my veracity see photo of my raw burger ordered extra well done. Phil, this could have been avoided if you had patience and professionalism. I WILL pursue this and run it up the chain. Very pour decision tonight Phil-very childish and counterproductive. You’ve taken an enormous step backwards. Additionally, we’ve dined in a number of times over the years and it was common to be simply ignored for 10-15 minutes after being sat. We’ve had to leave the restaurant because our young children would begin screaming with boredom and hunger. Phil is the GM so this all makes sense since he is the example at this particular restaurant. If the GM handles business this way, everyone else will follow. Unfortunately, Phil’s staff is not receiving quality/exemplary leadership. It doesn’t seem to matter what time or day of the week-the service is terrible. It seems as though Chili’s is just out for themselves and allowing their staff to run a formerly good brand into the dirt. Chili’s, TIME FOR A REBOOT if you expect to make it in this restaurant rich city, you’re WAY behind. I’m sure you’re aware of your decline. GET IT FIXED OR YOU’ll BE...
Read moreCame here for a lil solo birthday dinner. Got here around 3:20, and it took a while just to get a drink and appetizer order put in. It's 4:07 now and they finally took my dinner order, which I ended up asking to take to go because I've been sitting here with an empty plate and cup watching others get served at their tables. Multiple servers walking around and no one came to see if I needed anything. The restaurant isn't even all that busy either considering I'm here in between lunch and dinner. I placed a dessert order in the app on my phone before they came to me to finally take my dinner order. Super disheartening because the last time I was here and ordered to go it was decent and efficient service. Frustrating to hear servers in the kitchen just chatting, or to see the bartender checking his phone next to the computer behind the bar. They(tablet says his name is Ryan) were supposed to be my server but it seems they helped everyone but me. Hopefully my food comes out okay. I didn't want to take my birthday dinner to-go, but I'm so upset I just can't stay here and eat now.
Edit - Wendy ended up helping me get things straightened out. She was great. Still upset about my overall experience of being here. Ended up being here for almost an hour and a half still hungry. Glad I was finally able to get my food to go though. It's just not going to be warm anymore when I get to eat it now.
Edit. I came back on May 28, 2024 and had a completely different experience. Waitress was incredibly attentive and helpful as well as quick to get things requested (I asked for honey mustard at one point) and even gave me a refill on my lemonade before I could ask for one. The food was delicious (not surprising, I love their food lol) as well. Took me a while to come back but I'm glad I did for this meal because they really exceeded expectations...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I came here just wanting a quick bite. Sat in the bar area (which was not that busy; same for the rest of the restaurant) and waited 15 minutes to get greeted. No big deal, I get it, stuff happens. A server comes over and says she won’t be our server, but will take our drink order. Ok, cool. I order a beer and my girlfriend gets a tea. Another 10 minutes goes by. The tea comes out, but not my beer. I look over at the bar area and it looks as organized as Normandy beach during the D-Day landings. Utter chaos. I’m getting a little impatient, but I’ve worked in the food service industry. Stuff happens, I get it. Well then I observe what else is going on. Two tables had payed each other’s tabs. So A payed B’s check and vice versa and the manager is trying to fix it. Both A and B have been finished with their meals and had been waiting to leave since we walked in (at about a half hour now). Don’t forget, still waiting on that beer. Another 10 minutes goes by and still not even an acknowledgement from a server, host, manager...just nothing. My girlfriend and I looked at each other and said forget this. We went to the host and explained the situation and said we were sorry, but we’re leaving as this was unacceptable. Her response? A shrug...awesome! So what do my girlfriend and I do? Go down the street to a different place (local). Our surprise? We immediately get greeted, drinks within a minute and food orders in. I’m literally typing this from said place as I wait for my food to come out. Plain and simple...were never going back to this chili’s...I would say a moron would provide better service, but that would be an...
