Columbus's Best Donuts — Restaurant in Columbus

I have been really looking forward to trying this place since it opened. Finally made it in yesterday and it wasn’t the experience I’d hope for. I was “greeted” at the door by an older lady working behind the counter that was being very rude to the other employee there. I am a supervisor and that’s a huge no-no to me. Respect your fellow team members in front of your patrons. I had a large order which didn’t seem to be a problem at first but after my order was fulfilled by the same lady, she informed me that the next time I needed so many that I should call ahead of time so they could ensure to have enough for the rest of their day. She wasn’t rude necessarily but I mean, seriously? I place this same order at Very Best Donuts all the time and they don’t blink an eye, not to mention, Very Best Donuts are significant bigger, better and cheaper. I had the pleasure of finding this spot this morning. I saw the sign last night but somehow thought the golden building was Best Donuts. So I went to the wrong shop first but realized it after I ordered at golden. I didn't want to just pull off so I went on to find this welcoming shop. With Golden still in the seat unopened I went in to Best Donuts which was a very warm welcome. I looked at the items and noticed these huge twists. I got about three to try and explained how I just assumed the other building was them. The young ladies were very sweet and I even got a surprise in box. On top of all that you can grab a free bag of day old donuts with your order. So far I have only eaten the glaze which are buttery and delicious. I will be definitely be returning. We are really fortunate to have some amazing local donut places in the Columbus area. I know everyone has their preference, and it's hard to pick a favorite when they all are pretty awesome. As they say, even a bad donut is still a donut! But Columbus's Best are simply my favorite.

I came by the shop after having not been in for a while to buy donuts for some of my colleagues for the start of the school year. The staff that run the place are one of the things that makes this place so great - so kind and helpful - and they threw in a few extras that were a huge hit with the teachers and staff at work.

They really care and make a great product. My only complaint is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, really. Go get...
