My family and I visited Denny's restaurant, where we ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes, which were supposed to come with icing and cinnamon crumble. Instead, we received plain pancakes. The waiter, Nicholas, displayed a lack of competence by sniffing the pancakes and claiming they smelled like cinnamon, insisting they had merely forgotten the icing. I pointed out the menu description to him, but he rudely took the plate away. When he returned, he had simply added a small amount of icing to the same cold pancakes, insisting it was what we ordered, which prompted laughter from my family. Nicholas then loudly declared that I wasn't paying for the cold, incorrect food and called for security, all of which was recorded. We paid for our meals and left, only to find out the next day that the manager wouldn't be available for nearly a week. When we finally contacted corporate, they offered only a gift card as compensation, refusing to refund our original payment. Interactions with the manager felt like a game of telephone, filled with attitude, and were also recorded. Fast forward a couple of weeks, we returned to use the gift card, and my dad ordered country fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. However, the country fried steak arrived drenched in a watery substance, rendering everything soggy and unappetizing.Dennys has been consistently disappointing. My family member ordered the Beetlejuice pancake special, but instead received plain pancakes with chocolate drizzle, far from what was requested. I also ordered boneless wings, which arrived cold and dry, lacking any breading, resembling something hastily microwaved from a frozen bag. Two visits resulted in two unsatisfactory meals, and I feel compelled to express my frustration over the wasted time and energy spent dealing with these issues. With entrees priced between $12 and $18, the lack of competent culinary skills is unacceptable. The server, who was the same on both occasions, offered little more than an apology without attempting to rectify the situation. I plan to share photos comparing what we ordered to what we received. Overall, I strongly advise against dining at Denny's, as it has clearly declined in quality...
Read moreCame here tonight after the Reba concert… I was with a large party and it took 15+ mins to get our drinks. Then they forgot one of our milkshakes till much later. Our order didn’t get placed till at least 5-10 mins after our server took our order - We placed our order, we all ordered stuff that was quite easy- all breakfast. It took almost an hour for that to come out. Then they forgot two of our meals! We didn’t get a drink with our meal we asked for to be brought out with our food. None of our food was what we ordered. I ordered an omelet with Cheese, chorizo, and mushrooms. I got sliced cheese - not even melted, breakfast sausage, and cold canned mushrooms with some juices inside of the omelet. We asked for well done hash browns and they came out white.. we asked for sourdough toast- we got white toast that was barely toasted and no butter. The pancakes had burnt chunks of we would rather not know what it was. The one pictured had something white in all of them right in the center - We finally just gave up on this place and asked for all of it but one meal to be taken off and our drinks.
I walked into the ladies restroom… it was absolutely disgusting in there!! Doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in quite some time! The floor was sticky- I’d rather not know why! The toilets didn’t flush all the way. The handicap stall was ridiculously nasty! There were several dirty tables that weren’t getting cleaned. The floors under the tables were filthy. The ceiling tiles are rotted and falling above tables. -that couldn’t possibly be up to health code standards.
I don’t know if this experience was just terrible because of how late it was, or if this is all the time. But I was highly disappointed.
Y’all can do...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 start I would. This place is completely unprofessional. I’ve had 2 different problems with these people. One at which took place at the restaurant with terrible service and then I reach out to dennys due to an order I place through the app being wrong. It takes a week and a half to even get a response about actions being taken to fix the problem. I contacted DoorDash and Corporate they both put in a refund and said the general manager Betsy would need to approve of it. I call a week later and they take my name and email and say they will refund it now. Never gets refunded that day and then I call the next day and was told would be called back. Hours after I call again and was told I would be refunded in a Dennys gift card. I received the gift card 4 days later to find out that the pin on the gift card is completely off the card and I can’t use it online or to even look up my balance. I told the manager it was for an online order so I should be able to use the gift cards for online as the first order I had an issue with was placed with a Denny gift card. I called the restaurant for an employee to tell me there’s nothing they can do to fix it and that I would have to reach out to corporate. I reached out to corporate for them to say it’s the stores role to issue me another one or give me a pin for the one sent to me. I called the store back to be hung up on and call again and again to not be answered anymore. I can’t begin with the frustration these people have given me and it’s completely a shame to have to play telephone with these people because food can’t be made right and gift cards can’t be sent out currently/ not giving out...
