I ordered the holiday hot meal on the website Wednesday for Thursday’s thanksgiving for curbside pickup. I received emails of confirmations of payment I paid and the time for pick up. As I’m on my way to pickup I get a weird email saying my order didn’t go through in their system who knows if they just didn’t want to do it or declined it but I paid for this it’s on my bank statement so they just gone have to make it rather if they can’t see it in the system. I called before I came. A white Caucasian elderly man with glasses was giving me a hard time on the phone so I hurried up and showed up in person because I had plans to pickup up this food at 12:30 he told me if I show him confirmation of my email and my bank statement that I paid they will make it. I get there and him and the Mexican manager with the blue shirt on is still debating with me they don’t see it in the system and to go online and pay for it again I am showing the manager it’s paid for and a email from Bob Evan’s with confirmation numbers and my bank card info that it’s paid for so why can’t they just make it rather if it’s saying PENDING on my bank account I still paid for it. Anything I buy it will always say pending but it still comes out of my account. If I do not have the funds it will definitely decline. So I sat there showing them for almost an hour and he told me I still will have to pay for them to make it and to go online and pay for it again and told him I’m here in the store why can’t I pay here in store then he came to his senses oh you can pay here in store. So I paid double another $100 which makes $200 I paid which I told him already I paid for the meal for pickup but he didn’t care and plus I’m the only black person they giving a hard time to everybody else is picking up their orders with flying colors so I was calmy frustrated which I threatened to get the police involved. You don’t take my money and tell me I have to pay for it again for them to make it because it’s not showing up in their system which I showed you proof of my emails from Bob Evan’s confirmation and bank account. Do not order online rather order over phone or in person. Also I did get a refund a week later imagine if I didn’t have the extra funds to pay for it again and my family thanksgiving plans would have been ruined. I am leaving a one star review for the stress they have put me through on thanksgiving day he should not be a manger at all I believe some people just purposely give customers a hard time for no reason even if I show them proof they...
Read moreI have never left a review for a restaurant, and I always leave at least 20% for my server, but the service today was too bad to not say something. After being there for about 5-10 minutes, a server finally walked by and said, "Have you been waited on yet? I'll just take you since I'm right here." This is how the rest of the meal went: My coffee cup had what looked like dried pancake batter or something dripping down it, we waited about 30 minutes for our food even though the restaurant wasn't busy (the tables around us were empty, but sat dirty from previous customers), half of the food came out first and was all overcooked from sitting under the light in the window rather than being brought out to us (literally the piece of French toast they brought out was super hard and crunchy), our server didn't provide butter, syrup, or a refill on coffee, then the second half of our order never even came out!! At one point another server brought coffee out to us and he apologized saying he didnt know where our waitress was. Every now and then we could see her talking to other employees in the kitchen area but she never came out to apologize or ask how the one half of our meal that actually made it to us was. Eventually we walked ourselves up front because she never even provided us with a bill. I'm assuming the woman at the register was a manager because as soon as we walked up she said she would take care of our bill, so at least she acknowledged how annoying our experience was since our server decided to disappear...
Read moreStopped at this Bob Evans location on Saturday, April 13 around 11am with a party of 15. The restaurant was not very busy at all and could definitely handle a party of our size. Due to the size of our party, we were split up between 3 tables: 2 booths and 1 longer table. I'd like to start by saying the reason for our visit was due to a funeral. We just came from the cemetery across the way and had a funeral brunch/lunch at Bob Evans because it was a favorite of the person to had passed away. We had 1 waiter, a younger gentleman who was visible unhappy that we were there. Someone in the party ordered a number of appetizers to be shared across all tables and we got a snide remark from the waiter about the amount of food that was ordered ...... mind you .... there were 15 adults. The waiter was unpleasant, rude, and condescending. When taking orders, someone in our party (60 years+) asked what the sides were (this person is not from Ohio), and the waiter responded, "They are right there." and pointed to the menu irritated and annoyed. When the food arrived we were expected to reach for what was ours instead of him serving properly. Once everyone had food he seemed to get a little more pleasant, but he made the experience very rough and sad .... which is shocking given that we were already there for a sad reason and didn't think it...
