El Carrizo - Macon RD — Restaurant in Columbus

El Carrizo and I are Old Friends but we've been kept apart like So Many Others For Over A Year! (actually close to two years) We had the chance to greet each other recently over the Alambra (pleze let me spell this correctly 🤗) Entre'. I had wanted to try this dish and now was my chance! My evening began with tortilla chips and salsa. My drink order was taken and I had ice water and my personal favorite El Carrizo pink lemonade! I also ordered beef cheese dip for my chips, which I really enjoy. Later, a waiter came to take my dinner order. I ordered the Alambra, with a side order of rice. For my personal safety, all food orders that I can make at ANY POSSIBLE Establishment applicable is W/NO ONIONS. At El Carrizo, these types requests and/or exceptions are no problem at all when you are PLACING your order with your waiter/waitress for the evening. Well, The Alambra was a Sizzling combination of meats, cheeses and other specialties that was served with a serving of warm tortillas and I ordered a side of Rice with my dinner. My drinks consisted of ice water and Pink Lemonade. I think you can tell that I've missed El Carrizo because I even have an certain affection for El Carrizo's Pink Lemonade. I have been known to rave about it very seriously to quite a few people! I noticed that The Restaurant seems to be following up with Covid-19 guidelines, and that made me feel better about being out in public places because I Still Mask-up, not only for myself but for others as...

This is about a delivery order. I love the food here, but I wish so much they’d do better with delivery. I ordered on the website. It said it preferred it. It was sooo expensive that way, but I thought they’d possibly take extra care with my order if I did what they preferred. But instead, for the entire order, I only got 1 tiny cup of salsa, and that’s with ordering an extra bag of chips. They forgot my straw. They put the brownie with the ice cream, instead of separating it. Then the delivery person contacted me saying he’d leave soon and not deliver my order if I didn’t call back. I urgently called back. I said, oh no, did my address info not go through? I was careful to put in my gate code and apt 77. He said he had that information, but wanted me to guide him on the phone to my apartment. I’ve ate here for years until recently. Among all the “Mexican” restaurants in town El Carrizo’s food does taste the best. However, I have had too many negative experiences with service here that I would rather spend my money elsewhere. The last straw for me was recently when the charged my card twice for the same transaction that I did not discover until a month later. Of course I no longer had my receipt to dispute it with my bank, but when I went directly to the manager at the restaurant all he said was “I’m sorry that happen”. He didn’t offer a refund, or even a courtesy meal. Needless to say I also found a dead fly in one of my to-go orders from here before too, and they do have a few rude waiters…So if you want to deal with these every now-and-then problems...
