UPDATE

I called the store again and spoke with the manager, Richard. He was very apologetic and helpful. He re-made the order and credited the charge back to my card. When I spoke with him, he told me that three additional drivers had come in to try to pick up the order after it had been picked up.

Ironically, before I could pick it up, another Postmates driver picked up the order and delivered it to my home while I was standing in the store. Richard re-made the order again and handed it to me.

So, this issue is entirely on Postmates. Near as I can determine, here's what happened... The first driver that picked up the order, for whatever reason, didn't acknowledge the order as picked up in his app. So the Postmates system kept trying to send drivers to pick it up. That would explain the driver that picked up the order before I arrived at the store.

I don't know if that first driver decided he wanted a free lunch, or if he just forgot about it and then didn't want to own up to his error. Either way, as I said, the issue is with Postmates and not with the 5 Guys store. The food, as always, was good. So I've revised my review accordingly.

• Original Review I placed an online order at 10:13 am and was given a scheduled delivery time of 11:45 am. At 11:55 am, the Postmates tracking site did not show the order had been picked up. I called the store and was told it had been picked up "a few minutes ago". It is now 12:56, an hour since I called the store, and the website still does not show that the order has been picked up and the estimated delivery time is 1:35 PM. This is the second time we've had an experience like this from this store. Once is an aberration. Twice is a problem. I wanted lunch, not dinner.

We like 5 Guys food. We just prefer it on time and not cold. In the future, I will order from another location and pick...

I ordered a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich only because the cashier said it was apple smoked bacon and it sounded good. After waiting 10 or 15 minutes for my sandwich I opened it up and took a bite of iit.The bacondidn't taste particularly good so I opened the sandwich up to look at it. a very small tomato with two very small pieces of lettuce and about a thousand crumbled up bacon pieces.

The bacon tasted as if it's overcooked. The gentleman that took my order was cleaning the tables and I showed him my sandwich and I said I think this is the worst bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich I ever had. I asked is athe bacon supposed to look like this. He said not usually. He said I'm sorry you feel that way about your sandwich. No offer was made to redo a sandwich for me or get my money back.

I left after play conversation and throug tthe rest of the sandwich away thinking I got robbed paying $7 for something like this. after I left I was so upset that they could care less about a custome by then called customer service at the corporate headquarters. After taking my information, they said a manager from the store would get back to me. It's been 5 hours so far no call. I'm not surprised.

I hope they take this miserable sandwich off their menu and just stick with...

Five guys is a very good place for burgers. They also have very good fries that are very fresh. When I was there I got a cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, and pickles. I also got an order of regular fries. The total cost was $9.88, which I thought was very reasonable. The portion size was very large and the quality was way better then what you would find at a Wendy’s or McDonald’s. Five guys meat is always fresh and I have not experienced a single problem with my food yet. The decor of Five Guys has a retro feel to it because the chairs and tables are mostly metal. There is not much entertainment there but they do play music. Five Guys is the kind of restaurant where kids like to hang out and eat dinner. I would give their entertainment a six out of ten because there are no TVs. This is the kind of place where you go for a quick dinner and/or to hang out with your buddies. I think the prices are fair for what you get because although Wendy’s is cheaper the quality of the food does not compare to Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
