Hoof Hearted Brewing 5th Ave — Restaurant in Columbus

These folks are consistently producing the best hazy IPAs in the state. The brewery is about 45 minutes north of Columbus so the 5th ave taproom is a welcomed addition to the Columbus beer scene.

The tap room has a 80’s retro cartoonish similar to their can art (created Thom Lessner) and they have a Killer Queen game if you’re there with a group is fun as heck to play.

Hazies are best when they are fresh. They typically release 1-2 beers a week on Thursday so ask the bartender what’s been tapped most recently. They’ve also got their cans to go.

They also do half pours which is great because some of their beers clock in north of 8%.

If hazy IPAs aren’t your thing, they’ve usually got a fruited sour, a lager (love Bald Milwalkee!) and a small selection of cocktails.

Food is a BYOB thing but they were running a special with Watershed next door and RayRays reloaded has been parked there more recently.

Overall a very solid spot and a must stop for an IPA fan visiting breweries...

What a gem of a brewery! Hoof Hearted had everything: delicious drinks, immaculate 80s vibes, and an awesome bartender.

Johnny was the highlight of our night. He shared stories about Columbus and made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. His energy and hospitality made the evening feel special, especially since we were out belatedly celebrating my husband's birthday. It was almost closing time, so it felt like our own little celebration spot.

Between the atmosphere, the music, and the amazing drinks, we could not have asked for a better way to end the night. We will definitely be back next time we are in Columbus, and if we ever run into Johnny again, the first round...

The vibes is just as good if not better than the original location! You definitely walk back in time and back to the 80s! You know, when the group chat was everyone’s bikes outside the house with the best snacks in the neighborhood! When the alarm to go home was when the street lights came on! All the beers are amazing! They have a running club with drink specials for all members!! Highly recommend...
