Setting : 1*. The tables and chairs are all uncomfortable, hard, and very worn. My table was sticky and my chair was far too short to be comfortable to the average person. There are a handful of TV's all turned to the same channel. None had the sound on or the CC turned on. The music was washed out and too quiet so why not have the sound for the TVs? The room is too open, clearly designed for large crowds mingling between the tables, but there are no crowds so it feels cold and empty.
Service: 3* . My server was good but the food took forever, more the kitchen's fault than the server. The server was a bit pushy to get me to pay and leave even though i was only there 35 minutes (20 waiting for food) and the place was nearly empty.
Food: 2* I had the buffalo chicken sliders with fries. The fries were burnt, soggy, cold and limp. They were not seasoned at all, not even any salt as far as i could tell. The buns for the sliders were the cheap interconnected white bread buns you get for 89c a pack at the grocery store. The chicken was too thin and over breaded so it tasted of burnt oil and had a mealy texture. And the sliders themselves are just chicken, sauce , blue cheese and bread. Sure it's a slider but at 10$ for 3 tiny bites of chicken put a little effort into it. Maybe some lettuce or something. The sauce was good and that is why it gets 2 stars and not one.
Value for money: 2*. Overpriced mediocre food and bad fries. But i've had more overpriced food before and i imagine the beef sliders or the chicken wings would not have had the issue with overbreading and would have been decent. No lunch menu. No food deals on the happy hour menu. If you're going to call yourself a pub and be open for lunch at least pretend not to be charging late night bar food prices.
Overall: Might be a good place for a happy hour on someone else's dime, but I would never pay to eat...
Read moreWow. I came in here and it was slow, so I waited a few minutes and then said "hello" a couple times by the door to the kitchen. A woman came out and looked at me like she was confused why I was there. I said hi.. I'd like to get a beer and something to drink?
She said ok. For the rest of my time there, even though I was polite and friendly, she would just answer me with "okay" "huh" or "yeah". Didnt smile once. Meanwhile she would laugh and talk with other patrons, apparently regulars.
I don't have a huge standard for service, I know it's a tough job (I worked in the restaurant biz for 8 years) but I don't think you should be rude to customers or act like you don't want them there. I always tip unless the food or service is terrible. I didnt tip this time.
I guess I need to go back a few more times to get decent service as a regular, but I don't think I'll be going back. I actually felt bad when I left but then I just told myself, I didnt do anything wrong, I was polite and friendly, and she was maybe just having a bad day or didn't feel like serving me, and that's okay. I won't be back. Good food though, seems like...
Read moreI have been here a few times, every time has been ok. Itâs just close by and we were hungry and wanted a drink. First off when the server came up she asked what we wanted my husband was like we would like food, he wasnât very loud but he was talking louder so she could here him over the tvâs. She was like I am right here you donât have to yell, that was weird to me and not very nice. Then I ordered the five boneless wings with buffalo. I got popcorn chicken with a bit of buffalo sauce. They were 9 dollars I was not impressed with the sloppy plating and small portion. I told her I would just send them back I am good. She was like you can just keep them I will take them off rudely she seemed upset I was disappointed. She could have just said oh no problem. Anyway I spoke to the manager and said she could be nicer and gave him my wings. We left shortly after that I...
