Layered Brew — Restaurant in Columbus

The atmosphere is rather lack luster. The tables are sticky, filthy and ready to fall apart. The service was fine, when my friend and I rang the buzzer,(we hadn't a clue how this place operated as it was our first time in the building) the employee that came out was rather helpful and informative. However, the coffee, the main staple, left a craters worth to wish for. It was like milk with a dash of flavor. Even the oat milk that was subbed in had no taste. 8 dollars is MUCH too pricey for suck lack luster quality. And my friend ordered an iced drink. Drink being used lightly as there were maybe a few sips with more than half of the 24 oz cup being filled with crushed ice. I truly wish I were exaggerating here. Have seen this place and thought about trying it before and finally decided to go with my friend because they wanted a lavender latte and remembered them having that as an option here. When we got there found out you had to order online and were a bit taken back on the prices for the coffee but decided to go ahead and get it anyways since we were already there. I ordered a 24 oz iced pistachio latte also was charged .56 tax and debated not getting it because the price for it was $8 but friend ordered already so I decided to and wish I hadn’t wasted my money. My latte had only a faint hint of pistachio to it and mainly just tasted like milk wish a splash of coffee. Also had my cup almost compelled with ice as well. I usually get iced coffee and was shocked by the amount of ice they had in theirs was over 3/4ths of my cup filled after the coffee...

The prices are absolutely insane. As a business owner, I completely understand that the cost of goods as increased dramatically. But you simply cannot justify some of these prices when other shops have an actual building with seating and more staff. My boyfriend and I stopped in yesterday late morning, looked at the menu and left. The staff member that helped us was pretty cold and unwelcoming, too. To be honest, if the person helping was more friendly I may have purchased something just to be supportive (but I wouldn't have come back; you support these places charging this much and they'll continue to), but the bad attitude made it easier to...
