I don't have to say much about this place. Chances are you've heard of it already and know how good it is. But for those that haven't, they've been featured by The Food Network on several occasions as well as in Rachael Ray magazine. They have recently expanded this location into the adjacent business to allow for more seating. So seating isn't really as much of an issue anymore. The food is outstanding! You can't really go wrong with whatever you choose, whether it's something new, or a typical go-to dish. There are several different kinds of meats to choose from to fill your tortillas with, most which are available daily, and some that are specials on certain days, like the lamb barbacoa or spicy shrimp. Al Pastor is their signature meat and you can tell. It's always juicy and flavorful! Los Gauchos is always pretty busy, and there is usually some sort of wait to order, but you don't usually have to wait terribly long for the food. The wait is well worth it though. If you go there frequently and know what you want it helps to order ahead sometimes. If you haven't been to Gauchos, then get your life together and go, you'll be hooked at first bite!

A friend of us recommended Los Guachos for their al pastor tacos. The al pastor is good, but I think it would be even better if it could be heated up on the griddle a bit more after it’s been sliced off the trompo (para que quede doradita/quemadita). For us the real star of the show was the tripa. One of the BEST tripa tacos I’ve had. Really crispy on the outside yet tender in the inside. The lengua taco was really good, such a unique flavor, rich without being too gamey. The suadero was also really good, especially with the tripa. If you like spicy, the habanero onions are a must. The red salsa seemed to be more chipotle based rather than pico de pájaro, but it definitely added a kick to the pastor tacos. The staff is really kind and friendly.

We came in to try the best El pastor tacos in Columbus. They weren't the best I've had. I've had better off the taco trucks The Chicken chicken tacos were extremely dry, the steak taco meat was overcooked and chewy . The fish taco was not bad . The place was pretty busy and didn't take long to get our food. The chips and salsa was spicy and was $5 unlike other Mexican restaurants that give it to you for free. We asked about a taco we didn't know what kind of need it was we were informed it was intestines so we said we did not want that, but they gave it to us anyway and charged us for it. Our kids got french fries and they liked them. 8 tacos chips and salsa fry's and 2 drinks was over 40$ not terrible but not the best.

when you pull into Los Guachos, you'll be greeted by signs telling you they have some of the best tacos al pastor in columbus. while waiting in line, you'll see news stories and magazine clippings about their success. and after you've eaten here, you'll understand all of it. there is no way to go wrong with the menu. everything is delicious, from the burritos to their famous tacos. i'm particular to the quesadillas myself -- the Quesadilla Grande is more than enough food and it's PACKED with flavor. it's hard to find good lengua in the city, and they do it better than anyone. if you want good authentic Mexican food in the 614, look no further. Los Guachos is IT. stop in and see for yourself why it has all of this hype.

I forgot to take photos of this place and my food but it was the best Mexican I e had in Columbus. I got the tacos which were on special and the Taquitos were great as was the chips and salsa. I’ll be back again to try more but a good first visit!
