I don't enjoy leaving NO tip. I'm not that kind of person. If I get decent service you're getting a pretty decent tip. If I get great service you're getting closer to 26% minimum. Unfortunately my experience here was terrible from the moment I walked in.
I stopped here during lunch, or right at the end of usual lunch time. There was no one around to greet me. I could hear loud arguing coming from the kitchen area in the back. 5 minutes of standing around, someone came out. Said "sit at a table".
The place was empty, so why couldn't I sit at a booth? I sit down and it takes 5 more minutes before they bring me a water. I thought they were bringing me a menu. My mistake, that's another 5 minutes. Doesn't return for an additional 5 minutes.
At this point it's been 20 minutes and I haven't even placed my order. It takes another 20 minutes to get my food and it's not what I ordered. Let me tell you why. When I said what I wanted, I said the word printed on the menu for the choice. They still asked so that's which one, point to it. I point to the word and say it says this, reading the word. Apparently they can't even read their own menu, literally.
No wonder I received the wrong order. I don't know about you, but if you can't even read your own menu, what are you doing there?
I only have so much time for lunch. I'm a busy guy. I said forget it and ate it anyway, or half of it at least. The other half was the wrong bit. While I'm eating someone seemingly associated with the restaurant walks in. Owner for all I know. Has loud conversations with the other employees the whole time. To make it a lot more uncomfortable, she sits down in a chair against the opposite wall from where I'm eating and stares at me, watching me eat the ENTIRE TIME! Get lost creeper!
Once I'm finished I have to wait again for the server to feel like coming round, and they just HAD to make a comment about how much I ate. Maybe if you could read, or do your job I'd have eaten it all.
I said I just want the check. It's another 5 minutes. Instead of letting me hand them my card, they drop the bill on the table and walk away. You guessed it, another 5 minutes. Another 5 minutes after that to give my card back. By this time I'm super late getting back to work.
I would have given less stars, but whoever made the food earned them at least 2...

She finally brings it, taps on it, and say you pay right here (twice, back-to-back), and then looks at me say you ready now. I didnāt think anything of it at first, so I gave her the card. Once she brings it back, she shows me my total, and then proceeds to tell me how much to tip (she repeated this twice as Iām looking at it). This completely detoured me from leaving a tip. After packing the plates up to go, and stacking the dishes to make it easier for her to carry them back, and the little one wiping her mess up. We were doing everything to show we support servers, so the ending behavior blew it. As we were leaving, she chases me down to again ask me about a tip. I told her, your ending service ruined it. Donāt give your customers the experience that youāre assuming they wonāt pay or leave a tip. Not everyone fits the stigma projected on their race.
