Mugsy's Pub And Patio — Restaurant in Columbus

I have always brought my service dog with me to mugsys and stayed in the rear of the bar on the back lawn area. (I always bring poopy bags just in case). No one has ever had an issue until tonight. I'm a veteran diagnosed with PTSD. My dog keeps me relaxed when my anxiety flares. The bar woman told me no dogs allowed, I explained that I always brought her with me and no one has ever had a problem with it. She was very rude. I put my dog in my car, running with the air on and music. The bar woman, and im being nice because she was very rude and obnoxious, would not take my order for drinks. Just walked away like I didn't exist. Short, blonde haired woman. When I go to mugsys I spend a lot of money, we decided our money was better off at another establishment. Your loss another...

Pretty typical dive bar. Came here in August with a friend from out of town, just wanted to have a couple drinks and chat. It was a weeknight so there were only 3 people at the bar and a couple more on the patio. We sat outside until the mosquitoes became unbearable. Came back in and sat near one of the pool tables. It was all pretty enjoyable until one of the guys at the bar started a fight with the other 2. They were all very intoxicated, lots of swearing and pushing. The bartender just seemed to think the whole thing was funny, but since we couldn't carry on a conversation, we decided to leave. Mugsy's is a great little neighborhood hang out. They have a great beer selection, prices are very reasonable, and it's a comfortable atmosphere. They have billiards and darts and corn hole, and a really great patio, that is heated in the winter. There is also a backyard which is a really cool feature. This bar attracts a lot of smokers, probably due to the great outdoor space, which is why I gave it 4 stars. It's quite smoky outside. For a non smoker it can be a little bit nauseating.

The bathrooms are very clean and well-lit, which is a really great testament to the cleanliness of the rest of the building.
