Edit: I am writing to address your response to my recent review. I assure you that my review is not fabricated. I have been a patron of your establishment for social gatherings and casual lunches over the years. My commitment to honest and transparent reviewing is evident in the over 50 reviews I've posted on Google, all under my real name, Anthony Saadey.
On my last visit a couple of nights ago, I found that non-alcoholic beverage options were either sold out or not available. This was particularly important to me as I am currently making a conscious effort to reduce my alcohol intake. In an attempt to accommodate my preference and perhaps assist others in similar situations, I brought in a sealed, unopened bottle of zero-proof tequila. My intention was to offer this to your establishment, suggesting you could charge me for its service, akin to bringing a soda. This gesture was meant to be a positive contribution, not a disruption.
Unfortunately, the reaction from your staff was unexpectedly negative. I was not seeking confrontation but rather a conversation about accommodating customers like myself. It was disheartening to be asked to leave, especially considering my previous positive experiences at O'Nelly's.
I stand by my review and the details within it. I believe in the importance of sharing genuine experiences to help others make informed decisions. I hope this clarifies any misunderstandings and demonstrates my sincerity and the seriousness with which I approach my reviews.
PS: I have now attached a picture from when I was there on January 3rd, to disquiet any further claims about my patronage.
Additionally, I feel compelled to adjust my rating for "service" by reducing it by an additional star in light of the manner in which the situation was addressed by the owner. It's important for potential patrons to observe how business owners respond to critiques on review sites. The response to a negative review can be quite telling, often differentiating a proprietor who is genuinely invested in their business and keen on growth, from one whose motivations and state of mind may negatively impact their professional conduct.
Respectfully, Anthony Saadey.
I have frequented O'Nelly's for both social gatherings and casual lunches over the years. Recently, I've been making a conscious effort to reduce my alcohol intake. During a recent visit, I noticed they didn't offer non-alcoholic liquor or beer options. To accommodate my preference and possibly benefit others with similar interests, I purchased some 0% alcohol spirits and offered them to the establishment, suggesting they could charge me for its service.
Unfortunately, the staff at O'Nelly's did not take kindly to this gesture. Despite my explanation that the spirits contained no alcohol, akin to bringing a soda, the staff reacted negatively. They refused to even have a conversation with me about it, despite the owner sitting at the bar. The situation escalated quickly, resulting in me being asked to leave and being told not to return, with the staff even calling the police.
This experience was both surprising and disappointing, especially considering the several recent visits I have had there have been so pleasant. It's disheartening to see a local establishment react so unfavorably to a customer's attempt to make responsible choices about alcohol...
Read moreWent to watch the Brown's game December 10th. This was the first time for a game this year. Not sure what has happened since last year but was very disappointed. We didn't get shrimp in their signature bloody O'Nelly drink. That wasn't the big issue. Staff didn't know how to work the tv's! The majority were watching the Brown's game. No one was watching Bengals on the large screen. We asked that they change this around to accommodate us. The staff didn't know how to put it on the big screen. There were only 2 sets that had the Brown's game on. Game goes to overtime, TV warned of auto tune at 4pm, but no knew how to work it,so we all missed the end of the game! This will no longer be our go to sports bar which is sad because their Yinzer...

The place is a hole in the wall neighborhood bar. The service was ok. The food was ok. They have a super limited menu - wings, 3 sandwiches, a salad, and chilli cheese fries. So this is how our visit went... They were out of unsweetened tea... They were out of chilli (when you have less then 10 items on you menu how do you run out of the components for 1 of them?) Wifey had their boneless wings which she discribed as "nothing special" - I had their Italian sub which was really not that good. There are so many other restaurants in that area to choose from this is really not worth the time. I am not overly critical I very rarely give 2 stars on a...
