This venue is spacious and features a fantastic patio. It is situated between an industrial area and a gentrifying neighborhood, offering better-than-expected location and views. There's a wonderful patio outside with some shade, but it was hot enough that we opted to stay inside. The venue has a great bar, high-tops, low-tops, and plenty of seating. The service is top-notch, making you feel valued and well taken care of. It's even kid-friendly; we saw several other kids, and the server was attentive to their needs, which was much appreciated.
We really enjoy this place. We've tried the Shrimp Po Boy, which is loaded with Grilled Gulf shrimp, spicy remoulade, shaved green cabbage slaw, and roasted tomato on a harvest bun. We also had the MUSHROOM & SWISS BURGER, which consists of two 3-oz Ohio beef patties topped with Swiss cheese and bacon, served on a toasted brioche bun (I requested it without the cheese). Another dish we enjoyed was the BREU-BENOBC, which is Pitchback Session IPA-braised corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese dressed with 1000-Island and served on rye bread. Everything we've tried here has been excellent.
They have 12 of their beers on tap, but we tend to favor the Lulet and the President Pilsner.
There are plenty of TVs showing sports. It can get loud and probably raucous when crowded (we went right after they opened on a Friday, and it was slow but picking up). It's definitely an excellent place to have a beer, some food, and maybe watch a game. Bring your family or...
Read moreWe came here 09/14 after marathon 5k with a group of ppl. I understand it was a lot of us , but my food experience was absolutely disaster. I have ordered shrimp and grits , I asked cheese on a side , the waitress haven’t ask how I wanted my eggs , so all I got scrambled eggs on top, which I hate that way , they were very soft cooked, lots of bbq sauce, I couldn’t taste shrimp, and more bbq sauce under the eggs , my cheese didn’t came out on a side as I asked . I wasn’t happy so I ordered carnitas flatbread, instead I was brought breakfast flatbread…. I wasn’t in a mood with bread with sausage, potatoes , bacon …if I wanted it I would have order from the first time . How hard it is to get the food order right , specially of the guest is already frustrated…at that point I wasn’t going to wait for another remake , I still was hungry and I am pregnant, that was absolutely not what I wanted it . The blond waitress tried to say she has my flatbread that I ordered in back of the kitchen, but I didn’t believe and I didn’t wanna wait any longer . We just left , I was frustrated and still hungry . The place wasn’t even that busy , it was couple tables inside , and us as 10 ppl...
Read moreHad two issues and wouldn’t go back. They must employ someone whose sole purpose is to repeatedly tell customers that they cannot stand in the area between the bar and the tables set up near the bar because “it’s a fire hazard.” There were roughly 25-30 people in the entire place and this person was very irritated that customers would be standing up in the bar. I have never experienced this in any bar I’ve been in and have no idea how you would get bar service if it were busy and you couldn’t stand here. The bigger issue, they add an auto 20% “service charge” to a group with some number (not sure what the number is because we were never told), and they do not communicate this at all let alone when they bring the bill. The server comes over with a handheld credit card processor, takes your card, and when the machine is handed to you it’s on the screen asking for your signature and how much gratuity you’d like to add. Not until looking at the receipt that was emailed to me did I find out that I had tipped 40% for average service.
The sandwich I got was pretty good though, so props to...
