So today we decided to have dinner at Olive Garden. Me and my two daughters my three-year-old and my 11-year-old when we got there we got seated super quick We were there for at least 15 minutes and another table came in 4 guys as soon as they got there, the server went to their table got their drinks in at one point, she even looked at us. She never said anything keep on going. They’re probably 15 minutes to 20 minutes pass and we were still sitting there no water no nothing just a menu and the table that got there after us got their drinks food everything and we still just sitting there waiting for a server I figured well maybe this is not my server about 45 minutes past This server comes to Me and she says everybody else around me got their food drinks everything and everything is good. Me and my two daughters were still sitting there. Waiting to see if we’re gonna get some service Finally sever come. One of the service comes and she says oh I’m sorry I didn’t know you were sitting there I didn’t know I had a table, but you’re being back-and-forth with the other tables and I’m 160 pounds so I’m pretty sure you can see me and my older daughter so OK so at this point we just getting up cause we’re leaving. She says let me get you guys something to drink at this point. I’m telling her I’m like we’re good. We’re just gonna leave.server reply You’re more than welcome to leave You’re you want to. She’s like have a good day so at this point, I feel discriminated first of all I’m a Latina we were sitting in this section and by means I’m not trying to make this races, but that’s how I feel. I feel like I was discriminated me and my kids we were sitting in the area that it was. just white people all around us. We were the only Latinas there the servers were Black But then again you trying to tell me you didn’t see me and again I’m not trying to make this races, but that’s exactly how I felt. I felt discriminated and I felt like like I didn’t matter to anyone in the restaurant because it was two service in that same spot And none of them to even tried to give us a cup of water so the end of the story we got up and we left and like she said she said well you’re more than welcome to leave. Have a good day. Love the...
Read moreIf you are looking for a staff that cannot get the order right, drops other people's hot food on you and would like to talk to a manager that has no clue how to deal with problem solving solutions, just ask for the night manager Will. His answer to any kind of problem a customer has is to ask the customer if they want to staff member fired. He highly explaiins that if you want someone to lose their job, he is the man for the job. No Will, I don't want to see anyone fired. What I would like to see is that the staff is properly trained to not place trays of hot food next to other patrons, so that accidents like scalding hot food doesn't fall on other customers and staff alike. What I would like to see is team work. Other than staff members dropping off multiple trays of food for one waitress to hand out to multiple tables. I realize that every server wants to make their money but leaving one server with 4 trays lined up behind customers seats to make sure the walking aisle is open for others is not safe and requires more than one server to get these trays in and out. The next time someone has hot food spilled onto them, try more then asking if they need a napkin to help get the food and burn off of them. Next time, make sure you are at the center of your nighttime circus to make sure that no one gets burned. Also, make sure that the hostess is seating their guests in the preferred seating spots when asked. Not just where you can fit two bodies. When a customer asks to see a manager, it is because something went terribly wrong. Next time, why don't you ask the customer if there is anything that you can do, chances are, if you set a great example of how the customer is supposed to be treated, the customer will understand and come back but when you take no responsibility for the wrong done to customers, they will find other places to eat until you eventually get fired, and someone with the right skills takes your place. It isn't about firing your staff. This was a coachable moment that you through away through arrogance and some assumed power you had over the...
Read moreDined in 12/31/22. This would be a 1 star if it wasn’t for the recovery of a 2nd waitress. We had just attempted to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings but apparently they had no hostess to seat people so we left. We came here, put our drink orders in. There were 4 adults and 3 children. For whatever reason, the waitress decided I was also a child despite the fact I’m a 23 year old adult woman who ordered for myself and my child. I was the only adult to be given a kids cup. I’d asked for a sweet tea with lemon. When she came back out, I asked if I could perhaps get a glass instead as well as my lemon. She said of course and it never came from that waitress. I know it isn’t a huge deal but it was uncomfortable for me to feel like I wasn’t seen as an adult, like logic says I’m old enough to handle glassware if I have a child of my own. Between the 4 adults, we were given 2 plates for salad. No biggie, right? My sister asks if it’s possible to get a couple more plates, to which the hostess responded “No ma’am” with 0 explanation. When my sister looked at her like she’d lost her d@mn mind, she offered smaller saucer plates. The salad was meant to have onions on the side. She never brought them. I don’t know who that waitress was but she’s clearly in the wrong field or was having a very bad day. Hopefully the latter.
The second waitress was amazing! She spoke directly to the children and included them in decision making such as how much cheese they wanted. She visited regularly and corrected all of the previous waitresses errors. She was flawless in being personable and on top of food. Her section wasn’t even on our side, meaning she was having to go way out of her way to help us and still did everything with a smile. It’s unfortunate she was inconvenienced due to the assigned waitress and I hope she was given proper praise...
