I came to this establishment after a local BBQ joint was run dry of pulled pork. Twas the right decision. After a short wait to get a table, sitting in the quite accommodating bench seats, we were seated at a modest booth. My angelic server, Justin, came and asked us for our drink orders. We all ordered good old H20, as i heard its a local delicacy, he offered us appetizers, I didn't plan on ordering any but he mentioned something called "firecracker chicken wraps" I believe. Now I am a man who loves himself a good small explosive, so I decided to order them. A great choice, spurred by him. He admitted later he preferred the chicken bites, but the firecrackers were amazing none the less. To entrees we move, my compatriots both ordering steak and I opting for the more humble pork chops. Both coming with sides or salad, i found myself entranced by the strawberry and pecan salad, wanting some spring flavor to brighten up this gloomy January afternoon (pictured below). Not only was this salad a feast of the pallet was it a feast of the eyes. Beautifully constructed, well balanced and well dressed. I found myself mesmerized by the beauty of this salad, which drove me to take a photo of this plate; something I rarely, if ever do of anything. After finishing that glorious salad, our entrees came. A plate of 3 wonderfully tender pork chops was given to me, seasoned and cooked to perfection. My stepmothers steak was cooked gloriously and my fathers was as well. My asparagus was the perfect texture, providing a light snap with each bite. The light citrus notes matched the tart shoots melodiously. Finally we ordered a small cheesecake at Justin's suggestion, a final great recommendation. Amazing experience. i felt as if Todd Burrowes came down and kissed my forehead and blessed my food like a Rabbi. God bless Longhorn. God bless America. God bless Justin. Food: 4.75/5 (cheesecake was slightly frozen, my dad wasn't entirely satisfied) Atmosphere:5/5 (felt like i was breaking broncs and roping steers) Service:5/5 Justin:5/5 why did you read all of that. was good af tho. thx justin.

1st, let me clarify this isn't my 1st time at this restaurant. I have lived in this city for 2 + years. I have been here more than a dozen times. I get almost the same thing every time, outlaw ribeye. Previous times the steaks were perfect. Perfectly medium rare. This time, here's what happened: We (my wife and I) got the outlaw ribeye x 2 (~$30 each) and both were burnt - supposed to be medium rare. Mine moreso burnt. Personally, I hate throwing away/wasting food. So I will stomach the burnt food. Not asking for much, but a compensation would be fine. We got $3 compensation for 2 burnt steak.... $3 is insulting. We were eventually fine with them remaking ONE of the steak since I stomach-ed it and ate mine, but my wife didn't eat hers yet. Round and round we go, the manager lost her temper and got rude. Not sure why the manager didn't just go with what we said and remake one of the steak. My wife didn't even eat her steak yet. It was still completely whole and untouched and nicely burnt. She was going to go home and scrape off the burnt parts and then eat it. Long story short, if I really want burnt steak, I can do that nicely on my own at home - I am really good at burning steaks. A bit more than $3 compensation for 2 burnt steak was all we were nicely asking for. But the manager losing her temper was the real off pudding. Welp, Outback right down the street is open now.

I am on a tennis team that traveled to Columbus, GA for the USTA State Championship Play-offs. We all stayed at Springhill Suites (definitely great) and Longhorn’s is literally in front of the hotel. After a rain delay and finishing up late on the courts, we stopped in for drinks. It wasn’t super crowded because it was after 10:00, we decided to sit at the bar. Olivia was our server and had the cutest personality. I wanted a Hendrick’s gin and my friend wanted that with St. Germaine. Olivia couldn’t offer either. She said she had been disappointing people all day. She was hilarious! Truly, the bar shelves are very, very limited but we managed. My friend challenged Olivia to make her a drink of her choice….I think it was something lemony I can’t recall but my friend really liked it. We stayed for a second drink and watched the NCAA Softball game. It definitely has an atmosphere that welcomes you to stick around and since we only had to walk back up the hill we were in great shape. The bathroom was immaculate and the few staffers still there were very friendly. I highly recommend this spot!

Before Covid this was my favorite place to eat & I always received great service. I wen there Wednesday Feb. 9 at about 2:30pm in the afternoon to celebrate my grandson 13th birthday. This is only my 2nd time going out to eat since Covid. I knew this would be great because he could get anything he wanted they have a variety of great desserts. The hostess was great, he seated immediately because the place not crowded more empty because the day & time. Unfortunately after being seated we waited 15 min. to order out food & get something to drink. The lady quickly took our order by memory, didn't write anything down. I told her it was my grandson 13th birthday & he could have anything he want. he order a Ribeye Steak dinner, & Cheese burger dinner (2 meals) and my dinner also and we order desserts to come out with dinner. Desserts came out, disappointed no candle atleast in 1 of the cakes. Food came & my order was wrong & she never asked how we wanted the burger & it included things we just took off. I told her I would eat what she brought after that we never seen her again. At this point she could have up sold us anything on the menu before she left because I told her he could get whatever he wanted. My sister arrived to join us as we were eating which we had told the hostess she would be arriving. It too another 15 min. for her to come to the table to get my sister order and when my sister order came we finally get a second tea. At this point again she could have upsold us more food, even if we had to take it home but she was so quickly to leave after dropping my sister food off & us our 2nd tea we never seen her again and we had to sit there 20 min. after finishing our food & then I waved down the hostess to bring us to go plates & bags. After he brought them, she finally came to give us our ticket and I am a very good tipper, normally but our bill was 93.32 & I pd. $100. She was not attenuative, never acknowledge my grandson birthday, not a good waitress. Worst service I've ever had at this restaurant. She was not even worth my 6.00.....she could have received 25.00. I now wish we had of went with Cheddars or the Mexican restaurant, our 2nd & 3rd options now. It was not a great birthday or experience for me being only my 2nd time eating out. It was so bad we didn't get her name, all I know is she was an African American woman with long black hair & normally we always get the waitress because they are so great. ..but this was horrible. This much wait time in a practically empty restaurant &...

Whittlesey Blvd Columbus, GA location is the worst Longhorn that we’ve ever been to and we have traveled for work for 30 years so we have been to a TON! Every time we have went to this particular restaurant the food is bad or service is worse and last night was no different and my husband vowed not to pull in their parking lot again! I wanted to go to Longhorn for my birthday dinner (go figure!) so we got there at 4pm and went in and the hostess said it would be an hour or longer. I looked around the almost EMPTY restaurant and asked what about all those empty booths and tables. It was like 3 booths with guests sitting! She said, we have no waitstaff. Really? OMG! lol I will be calling the Darden company about this place! There is obviously a manager problem at this location! You don’t have bad food, bad service and then absolutely no one wants to work in this place because the management is on top of things! You have these problems when your manager sucks and could care less about the company he or she works for. There’s a problem here and it needs to be addressed and FIXED! We got on the waitlist but when I told my husband how long the wait was he said he77 no! We went to Texas Roadhouse and I forgot how much I loved that place! We don’t go there too often because of it being extremely busy. That’s because they have awesome food, amazing and fun staff and the best management running it to have all of that. We waited about 30min which was surprising considering it was a large amount of people outside and inside waiting to be seated and we expected it would be longer. Packed house! My birthday dinner didn’t go as originally planned but it turned out better than I had expected! The most tender ribeye and delicious sides and they gave me a free appetizer and a free dessert and all got together to sing happy birthday to me in their own special way. It was great. If you want a delicious steak dinner from a chain restaurant, go to Texas Roadhouse. If you want one from an awesome, privately owned restaurant, go to Mabella’s in downtown! It’s my absolute favorite restaurant in Columbus but we just ate there two weeks ago so I had picked something else for my birthday. When we finished our meal at Texas Roadhouse, I got a text that our table was ready at Longhorn! Our waitress was at the table and we all about fell out laughing! It had been an hour and a half! Get it together Longhorn manager before you’re the cause of a big CLOSED - OUT OF BUSINESS sign hanging on the front of...

We had two servers, the 1st for the first 30 minutes, then a new one for the rest of our meal. The 1st server only managed to bring us water, spending the rest of the time trying to get our drink orders--a margarita for my husband, a Tito's Texas Long Island tea for me, and a frozen virgin margarita for our teenage granddaughter with mango or strawberry juice added. Waitress said she wasn't sure about the virgin margarita but would check; came back saying couldn't be done because it came premixed in the machine. My husband said fine, just make it over the rocks. The waitress next came back and said the margarita still couldn't be done, and also that they couldn't make my long island tea, but finally after some back and forth conversation she said they didn't have Tito's vodka(?) but could make me a regular one. After she left, My husband went up to the bartender and gave her $10 just to make our granddaughter's margarita; my husband makes them at home all the time and knew it could be done, which the bartender did. Throughout this time the 1st waitress acted very reluctant and put upon in helping us get our drinks ordered.

Almost half an hour later, we got our drinks, and we were finally able to give our food order when a new waitress came to our table, eventually getting our food. She was very personable and took good care of us. HOWEVER, as we were paying for our dinner, we noticed the table next to us getting bread along with their waters and realized the 1st waitress never brought us bread! We love your bread(!) but had forgotten because of all the rigmarole in trying to order our drinks. Our 2nd waitress kindly brought us a loaf to take home with us, but it would've been nice to have some bread to munch on as we had to wait 45+ minutes for our dinner.

While we don't go to your restaurant often (maybe once a month), we've always had excellent service and enjoyed our food. I'm glad to say the food we were served yesterday was delicious! The low rating is for the difficulty in ordering our drinks (having to resort to bribing the bartender to get what we wanted), the bad service and attitude we received from our 1st waitress and how long we had to wait for our drinks and our food. We've always praised your restaurant and highly recommended it to friends, but don't feel we can again. We were so...
