Ridiculous Eatz Black Owned — Restaurant in Columbus

First time and last time at this establishment. Terrible service from a very unhospitable waitress. We ordered two servings of shrimp and grits. Both were lukewarm and flavorless.👎🏾 When we told the waitress, she snatched the plates up, didn’t say a word and just had the kitchen put them in the microwave but still brought them back warm.😔 The order of cinnamon cream cheese waffles didn’t come with any cream cheese because they didn’t have any and we weren’t notified beforehand. Which would have been OK if our waiters had tried to accommodate, but instead she got an attitude when I said I didn’t want them. The mac & cheese was even more without any flavor than the grits.

On a better note while the salmon did not have much flavor it paired pretty well with the mixed vegetables and rice. My fiancé enjoyed the collard greens and cabbage blend as well as the cornbread. Not sure who the guy was that came and cleaned off our table, but our experience with him was better than the food or our server so we tip him instead🤷🏾‍♂️

At the end of the day, we didn’t even send any of the food back. We just took it home and doctored it up. It was more about wanting the things that we ordered to be right and our experience to be memorable. Any job where customer service is involved there was a reason why the customer comes first in that phrase. They are the priority, but we did not feel that way, more like an inconvenience. The waitress could’ve been having a bad day, but that’s no excuse.

With some professionalism, maybe close off the kitchen area a little more from where people are enjoying their meals and get back to what the owner was doing in the beginning as far as flavor profile and quality product this place could possibly live up...

Wow where do I start. Want to talk about being discriminated against by your "own people". My dad and I visited this place in Wednesday February 6th 2025 ordered a good amount of food spent almost decent amount of money. The food was good my dad raved about the wings so much my mom my son and I decided we would give them a try on Saturday February 8th 2025. When i called to place the order the customer service i received was less than welcoming it was more of what you want than how can I help but reluctantly I still placed the order. The owner advised it would be 15 minutes, I agreed. As I was hanging up the phone I was speaking to my mother saying this is why it is hard to support black owned business's because of the way that treat people. I arrive to pick up my wings 20 minutes later for the owner to tall be he never even made my wings because of the comment he heard me saying to my family as I was hanging up the phone. IDC what i said in private to my family his job was to fulfill the order we agreed to not take it upon himself to not even make the food. My father left such a good review on Wednesday to turn around Saturday and he completely slapped in the face. I have never ever been treated so bad in my life. So he advised it would be another 10 minutes or so after speaking with my mother who was paying for the order she advised she did not want to give any of her money to a such a place. Which totally proved the point black owned business's. If you are a person of color don't do it. This was one of the worst experiences of my life my family and I ate completely disgusted. The treatment we got is in the name....

Yeah I order from here a few times the food is good not a fan of the Mac but everything else hits but why I come to pick my order up and baby is on her personally phone and bagging our food with no gloves no hand washing nothing and it pissed me clean off cause I’m pregnant she put one glove on which defeats purpose so I just put my head down she like you look tired whole time I’m just trynna pray over my food so like here’s what truly killed me she coughed in the same bare hand she was plating our toast in my pick up order and I just think when you have one person in the kitchen, answering the phones and everything else cross contamination is so easy and as a customer I was so salty cause seeing it makes you not want to eat. I know I take my phone into the bathroom I set my phone any and everywhere so to see it on the counter right next to cheese that isn’t covered or nothing just put only made my conscious crazy.
