I give up. The recent changes have been tragic. Every ingredient is extremely salty that my spouse and I get a physical reaction to the food now. It cannot compare to any fast food joint or restaurant that uses MSG, that’s how bad it’s gotten.
I’ve eaten here three times since the changes, trying different combinations, and haven’t been able to eat more than half the bowl before I start getting sick.
Before, the food was addicting because it was all balanced, now everything is seasoned with salt, so it’s hard to create a balanced combination that isn’t salty to the point your mouth puckers up and your stomach swells. Somehow, they managed to make the kimchi too salty too. :(
I wouldn’t be surprised if they were instructed to add additional salt to make it more addicting to customers, but if it’s making people ill, it’ll just deter them.
I miss the cucumbers and old kale so much... now my leafy greens are covered in salt. I can never come back, despite this being my go-to for the past five years for delicious and nutritious food. (That’s why I’ve given this location three tries since.)
Not to mention, no matter what combination I’ve tried, it just does NOT taste good. Well, it’s hard to taste anything through the salt anyways, so that makes sense.
It’s gotten to the point where I’d prefer Wendy’s across the street because at least they have options that are less salty. 😭
EVEN THE MISO ISN’T SAFE...
Read moreOn top of the staple from my prior review, they stopped including 2 dressings for their bowls. Their dressings aren't great, so to make the food palatable, I combine dressings. Now, they're charging extra for that.
Don't charge for a second stressing, or allow 2 to be mixed. Raw vegetables would be better than half of the cooked, limp veggies you serve... Maybe give the customer an option for raw? I'm coming for a low calorie salad. Make it easy for me to choose a crisp, properly dressed, healthy salad. ie, add halved cherry tomatoes, raw broccoli, cauliflower, raw cauliflower, boiled beet sliced from a can, chickpeas, feta, olives, etc. There are many low-cost items you could add to make the food much better without increasing your costs at all because you can still limit the number of ingredients.
The food is usually pretty good, but I bit down on a staple in my food on my last order. They need to be more careful. Update - 2-9-2022 2 stars to 1, they gave me $20 in free food for having a staple in my food, which is decent, but they just can't seem to get the ingredients correct from online orders. They often include potatoes even though I always...
Read moreIve been coming here for 3 years and I haven’t had any problems up until recently. I don’t know if they under when a management change or what not but they’re web order online order order. Pick up process is an absolute joke these days. The last three times I’ve placed an order online have been like 20 minutes ahead of time for ASAP pick up and I’ll wait 20 minutes. I’ll go in there to get it and it won’t be ready so I’ll announce myself ready to pick it up and they’ll go go ahead and make the five peoples orders who just walked in the door. What the hell is the point of ordering online if you’re gonna serve the people who walked in the door 20 minutes after Especially after I told you already that makes absolutely no sense drop orders and you prioritize mine since I placed 20 minutes ahead of them ASAP pick up.. when I called the manager up front she was rude as all can be and did nothing to remedy the situation. I would never return to this Bibibop, until they’re under new management. This new one is...
