This was our 1st experience at this restaurant and we will not be back. Every Friday I go out to dinner w a couple friends, including being a caregiver to a special needs girl who is deaf. We waited patiently outside as they told us it would be an hour. No problem we are used to Friday nights being busy. Our waitress Lori was terrible from the very start. We waited to get drinks, then waited to order. Then asked another waitress for straws. She brought us little short coffee ones thinking that would be fine. Finally, our waitress came back brought a small straw that had already been opened and plopped it in her drink. Meanwhile im trying to keep my mouth shut. It took our food along time, no problem. We had to ask for water and more things. Meanwhile she had an attitude and not 1 smile the whole time. Never a would you like dessert or anything else I can help you with. We were done with our food a long time and were sitting waiting for the bill. She finally came by and I said can I have 2 cinnamon rolls and she said to go or for here and she went to walk away. I said my friend would like pie. We waited another 10/15 min longer still nothing. Finally, I had had enough. I got up went up to hostess and let her know how our service was all night. I said all we are waiting on is pie and cinnamon rolls and checks. She went back and talked to manager. At same time Lori our waitress came back and said they just put new batch in it would be 15-20 min, did we want to wait. I said yes we had already waited that long. Now the other waitresses were busy too and they were kicking butt!! I even asked if this waitress was new and they said no. The last thing that burnt my biscuits was I spent $61.56 on two of us and my friend spent $48 on herself. They had brought out 3 rolls and 2 small cinnamon rolls to our table at the start of dinner. The reason I ask for 2 to go was because Colleen, my special needs friend didn't get one. You can imagine how angry I was when on my bill they added $4.00 for them. I was livid. It wasn't about the cost. I didn't know they charged extra for them. I talked to the manager who was nice and apologetic for my bad experience, but who also seemed clueless and did nothing about it either. You know just a simple hey, since you had a bad experience, ill just give you complimentary cinnamon rolls or something as to smoothe over the situation. It wasnt about the money. However, nothing was done. There are plenty of upscale restaurants in Columbus that I can try, why would I come back to...
Read moreZERO STARS!!! I am absolutely DISGUSTED at the service we experienced today and will NEVER be returning to this establishment. The manager on duty was the most disrespectful woman I have ever encountered and should be fired immediately. We came in for a birthday celebration for my grandma and had 8 people plus one baby (8months). Since they only sit 8 at a table, we were told that since the baby would be sitting with us, that we couldn’t all sit together. They separated our party and forced the two teenagers to sit by themselves in a booth where they couldn’t even talk to the rest of our party. We politely requested that we all sit together, and even moved the high chair so that the baby wouldn’t be taking an extra seat (he sat in his mothers lap). The manager insisted that we could absolutely not sit all together because there were “9 heart beats,” even though the baby was not taking up any additional room. She continued to argue with us and was incredible rude for the remainder of our time spent there. Her reasoning for refusing to accommodate us was because she couldn’t make exceptions or other people would take advantage of that. I completely understand having specific procedures and expectations for guests, but to count a BABY as a paying patron/fully functioning guest is ridiculous- especially when we made arrangements to ensure that the baby wouldn’t be taking up additional room. When we asked for a supervisor/owner or contact information to relay our experience, she refused to give us this information. We left before even being served since we weren’t even able to sit together. I am disgusted at how we were treated this evening and will never be returning. It is my hope that the manager (larger elderly woman, since she refused to give us her name as well) is terminated immediately since we will be relaying our awful experience to everyone we know. As a server, I have NEVER been treated so awfully by a person that should be trained in customer service. Based on the other reviews, people agree that the...
Read moreIt was an expensive, bland meal.
My date got the prime rib with a double side of the veg and a salad, I got the filet mignon with veg and fries and we had the scallops for an appetizer
Starting, my date got her salad and it came out and was a small handful of mixed lettuce on a plate with a wedge of suuuuper under ripe tomato. The tomato had no juice, just solid all the way through.
We were told that green beans were the veg, we were served broccoli (which was a step away from raw), and as it was served we were apologized to for it not being asparagus(🤪) To their credit they did ask if we wanted to sub something out for the veg since it wasn't what was stated.
My date said that the prime rib was ok but was more expensive than a steakhouse and not as good. My filet($29) was cooked to temp but the outside was oddly dry??? It was also without seasoning l. The only thing that saved it was asking for a second side of au jus. Overall it was a very bland meal.
The scallops($18) however, came out in a shell full of a delicious cheese sauce and were cooked perfectly. I really liked them, but for $6 per scallop, I don't think I could ever justify buying them again.
The environment made it so that sound doesn't echo and because there weren't a lot of people there on a Monday night, it made the place feel very liminal space-y. The staff experience was a little off for us as well but I won't go into it because it seems like the waitress was newer and still getting used to it.
It was a very awkward experience. The atmosphere was cool, but the prices said "we take ourselves seriously." The folded napkins and silverware placement gave a high brow affectation, but the paper place mats, the mountain of butter packets for two rolls, and the modern music said "Were not sure what...
