Service was pretty bad Thankfully, the food made up for the service. Upon arriving, i let the staff know I needed a table for 2 with a possible 3rd joining. The first error in service was after asking for a cup of water, no ice, when the waitress seated me and asked me what she could get me to drink. Before I could even ask for water for my friend, the waitress was gone. She came back with water with ice My friend arriving and I asked her to order me a water no ice and that she could have mine. Waitress brought back friends water with no ice, and we switched. Waitress never came back Never asked if we were still waiting for a 3rd Never asked if she could get us anything while we waited Never asked, just never came back 30 minutes later, after attempting multiple times to say excuse me when one would walk by I gave up and got up and asked of someone could please take our orders. Our orders were taken. Food was brought out quickly. It was delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffle. It should be served with more syrup though. The waffle to syrup ratio is quite off. My waffle was quite dry by the time I got done with half of it. I dont remember what my friend ordered. Think it was eggs Benedict. She said hers was delicious as well. It was very unfortunate for the sucky service. Food...

Arrived at lunch (12:15) Took about 5-10 minutes just to be seated. When there was plenty of tables available. But the person who seated us was walking around slowly and doing a bunch of what looked like unnecessary stuff before seating us.

This place is also full of older folk, and if your younger they tend to stare at you like your not suppose to be there. Bad atmosphere for younger folk, especially not good for LGBTQ folk. Did not feel welcomed, nor was the service that great sadly. This was my first time going and I will not be coming back.

The food was not great at all, if you get a salad, be prepared to get almost all romaine cores instead of leaves. And don't bother with their crusty, dusty, inedible chicken. I could not even chew off a piece as it did not want to break apart. Instead the toppings and bun was all I could bite off. Also don't get me started on the price. As our full order was a salad, 2 drinks, a sandwich and a side salad. It came to almost $50. This is outrageous. Not to mention they did not give me the pickle that comes with the meal.

I gave it 1 stars and I am feeling generous with that. Would not recommend unless your 65+ and don't have any taste buds left. But watch out cause if you got dentures you probably can't even eat their...

I read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. I really hate writing poor reviews of places, but I don't see any thing else here summarizing the experience I had.

I had the Lemon and Berry french toast. I thought it was going to be thick slices of french toast with lemon and berry drizzle. It has the tasteless drizzle on it but the french toast was the wide thin sandwich bread. Absolutely not bread for french toast. It was dense and soggy and lacked that french toast flavor. It tasted boring. I think I ate maybe half of it.

A cup of coffee is also $2.59. This is not mind blowing, delicious, omgsogood coffee. I get that there is refills, but man, that's a lot if you only want a single mug.

My husband had the protein wrap. It was a healthy dish, so boring was expected.

Between me and my husband we had a $23.00 bill. I regret paying this. This breakfast was not worth $23.00. It is very rare I feel like I didn't get what I paid for at a restaurant, but that is the taste this cafe left in my mouth.

Server was friendly and quick. The temp in the dining room was like 95 though. I get its cold out but my god, it was very very hot in there.

No, I would actively not...

Well sadly, all good things must come to an end. We've been driving over 30 miles across town since 2017 to eat at this particular Sunny Street. Earl was a great owner and it was quite literally one of the coziest brunch places in Columbus. New ownership has taken over and immediately destroyed the place. (starting with dumbing down the coffee creamer) I realize many people won't care about the ambience of a restaurant but for me it was what led me to drive past literally hundreds of other places (including multiple Sunny St. locations) every week. If you prefer lighting that is equivalent to sitting in a dentist chair this might be the place for you but sadly it just lost its charm that made it special. Gone is the cozy wood wainscoting and walls are now hospital white (I realize this is the trend now days). The food is still solid and for now they still have some good people working there so most people won't mind.
