Update: I don't know why we keep eating here. The sauce is so good here, so there's a reason to come back. They have the buy one get one free on Tuesdays, so there's a reason to come back, but Marcos Pizza right down the road also has buy when I get one free on Tuesdays and they are cheaper, so there's a reason not to come back here. We eat here all the time, almost always getting two pizzas, and typically one of us is disappointed in our pizza. Sometimes they're not cooked enough and are mushy, sometimes they're burnt, usually it's because they skip you out on toppings.
We ordered two pizzas tonight. One large Tuscan pepperoni, which was very good, cooked perfectly, and toppings were as pictured. Then we ordered a Romeo's deluxe, and this is what we got! $21 is what they charge for a large pizza now, you get more toppings than this on a $6 frozen pizza at the grocery store! I am so sick and tired of having my money stolen by paying companies for product that we are not getting. This pizza only has maybe 30% of the toppings that it's supposed to have.
And this pizza wasn't free tonight. We had guests over that we fed, and this is what they saw, so clearly they're not impressed with Romeo's nor will they be customers there, I would imagine. I'm expecting another response from "the owner" saying they'll do better and to contact them. Gets you nowhere though! Including they never get better. Quality control is completely out the door at this location, and that comes down on the piss poor management. Hey but they're pocketing a lot more profit, as we're paying for stuff and letting them get away for not providing it. I think if everybody started being a cash payer, and not paying for the pizzas until you see them, they'll change their ways, as they'll end up with a bunch of pizzas sitting there that nobody will take. Somebody makes a pizza, and then somebody else is taking it out of the oven and cutting it. So two people are visually looking at these pizzas and knowing that they did not even come close to providing what they were supposed to provide for the money that's paid and for the product that's advertised.
This has always been our go-to pizza place for as many years as I can recall. Don't know what's been going on lately and appears to be all new staff. Nobody can do anything right. Food is wrong a lot, not done when it's supposed to be, nobody seems to be able to even take payments without needing help. Tonight I ordered my favorite food there which was a calzone and it tasted nothing like a Romeo's calzone! It had no pizza sauce in it and the top was totally different type of crust than usual and was horrible. When we ordered there last week both of our pizzas were wrong and we had to wait on them to cook new ones I can't believe I'm saying this but I am done with Romeo's. Their prices are way too high for food to be incorrect, taste horrible , and customer service to suck anymore. Romeo's corporate really needs to look into this location just based on all of the poor Google reviews anymore if nothing else. This location is now giving Romeo's...
Read moreI would give zero stars if at all possible. We've had repeated issues with this location. More than a year ago, we had continued issues with our orders being wrong and them refusing to make it right. One pizza came with ZERO mozzarella cheese after we had complained they sent the wrong pizza. To send a replacement pizza with no cheese was a direct message to the customer and extremely unprofessional. Management is rude, refuse to honor a mistake and treat customers with respect. We did not order from them for a very long and swore we would not go back. This past January we gave them another shot. We would order extra sauce cups and each and every time they would not include the extra sauce that we purchased. They would never make it right. What is their issue with the sauce?? It's ludicrous. Last night we ordered from them again and after submitting our online order, my wife called to confirm that we get the sauce cups that we have ordered and paid for since the last 2 times they haven't. The worker instead of apologizing and attempting to make it right, started arguing with my wife and going back through past orders to verify her claim of ordering additional sauce cups. Might I add, these are .$60 for a cup of sauce! When each order is minimally $60 and we get pizza several times a month, I wouldn't think that a 60 cent sauce cup should be an issue. Last night after all of this, our pizza arrived LATE again as usual and no sauce cups at all. None. The ones we ordered, paid for and then called to confirm for them to put in the box. I called back to bring this to their attention and they actually apologized this time and said we will give you extra for your trouble. They sent a driver out and when he arrived, there was ONE sauce cup, still not providing even the sauce that we paid for, let alone anything to make up for the time and issue of them repeatedly messing up our orders. It was clear, once again, that they were sending a message. The management is as arrogant and rude as the employees. The place is a mess. Romeo's, we gave you one last chance and you blew it. We will no longer give you one dollar of our money. It's a shame that based on all of the negative reviews (and many being the same) that you still continue to treat your customers horrible and give out subpar and...
Read moreDon't even think of ordering anything from these pizza parlors!!!! We're traveling and staying at a hotel 1.1 miles away from where we ordered our dinner, being told it would be 45 minutes. After an hour and thirty-five minutes, our order was finally delivered to our room. Our first irritating experience was ordering from their online menu. Our first choices were not on the menu anymore! Once I deciphered what was available, we ordered one pizza, one calzone, a salad, and a 20oz. drink. The total was over $40.00. The food wasn't anything special. It wasn't hot. (Thanks to the hotel for having a kitchenette!) The salad was OK. (Hard to screw those up!!!) And my 20oz. Mt. Dew was up to par...(again hard to mess up a bottled soft drink.) In conclusion, I must confess, I ran pizza parlors in California in my youth. So I consider myself a fairly good judge of pizza, calzones, and fresh hot food. (And I happen to have Italian roots!) I also have managed restaurants. If my service and product was of this caliber, I would have never been in business!!! I cannot understand how this company has 1location, let alone fourteen of them. So please, when you may be in the Columbus, Ohio area, avoid Romeo's like the plague. One last thing...My wife's pizza was "complimented" (eye roll!!!) by something called "Capone Sauce." If Al was still alive, he'd shoot the person who made it, for using his name without permission. My RANT is complete! Can't wait...
