Good morning I'm a bit perturbed at the experience I had today at your HILLIARD location. And I initially walked in I had a group of six who were individuals with special needs the young lady (hostess)asked me how many we told her six. She proceeded to walk us back to the far rear corner and stated you could sit at any table in the back so I assumed we could spread out both tables clarification was not provided based off of her statement. It wasn't very busy so I was actually excited that they could spread out and have a comfortable lunch. A few minutes later the hostess (I didn't get her name) comes back and said "I'm sorry you're all going to have to move to one table" in a very judgmental and irritated tone, I was a bit confused and inquired why when we had just sit down and they were starting to eat their lunch she proceeds to say we can't have you taken up two tables I said okay I understand but we were just told we could sit at any table where she directed us, which it was six of us which was a tight squeeze. It baffled me that we were asked to move because it wasn't very busy so it was confusing on why we were asked to move to one table. My coworker then asked the server to please retrieve the manager, the manager walked up she didn't State her name and was very condescending and ask how could she help with a very condescending tone, after we explained to her some of our adults were special needs and SOME have triggers if they're too close to each other. And I am not being exaggerate we were literally on top of each other at this table, after we explained she said it would be fine if we could move over back to the table they were initially sitting at. I didn't understand why they moved in the first place I felt a bit judged. I felt like the energy was off the moment we walked through the door but I was trying to be optimistic. The staff seems to be bit out of touch with individuals who have special needs needs we are trying to bridge the gap between the community and those individuals but sometimes it's hard when people don't understand it no one should be prejudged. This was an overall bad experience we try to take our participants places so they can feel normal like the rest of the world. My coworker decided to stay and eat lunch with our clients. I was very bothered and uncomfortable so much that I chose not to eat. I just need people to understand the initial approach is everything starting from your leadership down to your staff. EVERYONE should feel welcomed and not judged. It was a minute situation that didn't have to escalate ,too me sending this message. No one likes to feel judged based on their disability, race, or appearance. You never know who may come into your establishment. Maybe roosters could possibly set up coaching with your staff about individuals with special needs and not have a condescending tone or judgment. This is just my opinion and perception and I hope it's taken seriously. Thank you for taking m the time to read my statement. And I really pray for people to stop the prejudices and racism we have enough hatred in the world and perception is...
Read moreThe worst experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time the waitress messed things up we got food before appetizers even after we were asked when we would like them...no asking of refills even once I got the manager she only offered to remove the said appetizers that I never got from Bill and ten percent I get ten percent with my roosters fun card . .the night goes on and I can't get anyone to even bring us the bill even with my Visa sitting in plain sight said waitress walks by numerous times ask for manager again tell her to keep my fun card I will never be back she then excuses herself and comes back with a 30 percent discount at this point we only ate 30 percent of out food because the whole dinner is ruined she looks at me and asks what I need to make me happy..I work in food/retail you should never have to ask the guest honestly at this point when i said I wasn't ever coming back she should have comped the food I paid for my alcohol and given us something to entice us to give them a second chance she didn't and I won't I left the discount card on the table for the next unfortunate person to be served by them. I work to hard for my money and my time to have it wasted on someone who obviously doesn't even want my business. I was told the waitress was new and I understand new everyone is new at some point but don't let her wait on people till she's ready she came back and told us ten mins after ordering our drinks that someone said something to her and she totally forgot what we wanted if you can't remember then write it down no shame in that I couldnt remember everything like that either when we received our food before our appetizers she asked if everything was ok and we said no we never got our appetizers and she looked totally perplexed and was like oh...and after the manager finally came over the second time and got our bill she came over after walking by us numerous times and asked if we needed anything. I said ten mins ago yes now not so much thanks...what a shame that great food gets ruined by a awful experience one thing I can forget two three and four not so much and things happen it's how you handle them and you roosters did not handle it at all a guest should never have to tell the manager how to...
Read moreToday on 07/02 is a great Tuesday! We were delighted to go to Roosters tonight to get some chicken wings. When we arrived we noticed the sign in the picture that mentioned $3 Apps on Tuesday. Now it says “Apps” which is plural. Great, we decided to get some Apps being that they are $3 on Tuesday. This is not the case I guess it is only 1 app that is discounted on Tuesday’s and the board doesn’t say which one, so it’s a guessing game! The waitress sent the manager over who was useless lied to us, said there was a sign that showed which app was $3. I attached a picture of the sign.
Read on if you want the rest of the review, but just know the apps are not $3 and it is a singular app that is $3 and you gotta play a guessing game which one it is!
The Chicken wings at Roosters are delicious. The service from the waitresses are great! The bartenders very friendly. The hostess…. Not friendly. The food is what you are here for. The food is worth it! Some of the best Chicken wings in the Columbus area!
The management, awful! The girl who works on Tuesday’s doesn’t care that the sign is clearly wrong. She said she will let her GM know. Great, but that does nothing for us right now.
Overall, id say go to Roosters, enjoy some wings. Just know the Hilliard Roam location is...
